Hi, anyone has any ideas what is the minimum score to enrol for Dunman high. My daughter has 261 and not sure whatever it is risky to apply since last year COP is 259 and mean score is 261.

personally, my girl has a better chance for Cedar girl. please help to resolve my predicament.

        NotKiasuEnough:

If there are two students (A & B) with the same score, student A chooses school X as 1st choice and student B chooses school X as 2nd choice.

Does that mean student A will be accepted first?

        Yes.

I understand that there is a string of decimals which is not made known to us. So chances of many having the same aggregate may not be high πŸ˜„

no prob. is risky but wat do u think will be better ? We r thinking of Tampines Sec, East Spring, Damai Sec ?

I am not very familiar with the schools you mentioned, but based on last year's COP for the schools you mentioned, chances of getting into any of them is quite high since your child's T-score is higher than those schools.

Can anyone tell me any good school that my child can go with a score of at least 220 or 225. We are living at the East? Thanks πŸ˜„

            Wonder if this might help?

my daughter has the option of learning a 3rd language. do you think I should opt for it? any benefits besides the obvious of learning how to read and write a foreign language?

worried that she might find it stressful. esp in sec three where she will have to do more subjects. 😎

Thanks, u are really a great help. but having a score of 226 is really hard to choose a school. Can we appeal for sec school, if we are short of 2 to 4 marks?

That really depends on a few things :

                  1) if the school has vacancies?

                  2) if your child has any special talent to offer to the choice school.

If travelling is not an issue, than shoose Dunman High. She will get in with her T-score.

You are most welcome. Was painstakingly done last year and updated at the beginning of this year after all the COPs were posted on the individual school's website.
