PSLE 2010 Results Report Here

Hi~
My son scored 186 for his PSLE with an A in English and C for all other subjects so normal acad it is!
I'm looking for a secondary school with a good reputation for their normal academic stream in Sengkang, Hougang or Punggol. Would appreciate it if anyone could let me know of any recommendations? I'm looking into Nan Chiau and Xinmin Sec but I'm afraid my son's score would not be eligible for Xinmin's normal academic.
Thanks in advance!
Try Nan Chiau High - COP is 182. This will be the last batch they are taking in Normal Stream as NCH is accorded the SAP status from 2012. -

Counting only A* & A, EL & CL improved, MA & SC dropped a shade in percentage terms. HCL improved, even with a bigger cohort sitting for HCL
One of the classes almost, well almost - whole class A* for Math -

The national average T-score was around 207 and even top schools like Rosyth the average T-score was only about 225.25hourmaid:
Really? :? In my boys' days, the national average was 230 and I was told to use that as a gauge. 200 is a bit low in my opinion as national average.
I remember driving past Princess E in Bukit Batok (a very hot sch in the west) & they published their average t-score as slightly less than 200 (think it's 198). So 230 as national average seems quite high to me. -

noob:
Yes, trying RV for the 1st choice , 2nd for Nan hua . If RV reject my son for the S1 Posting Exercise , we would try to appeal on 23rd December . This is how you appeal right ?hlz54321:
Hey , my child got 242 + 2 for his PSLE results . Is it possible for him to appeal into River Valley High ?
If he has a good cca to support him, can try. Do u also consider Nan Hua, SAP school? -
The national average has to be 200 for the formula to work

Sorry to be a damper, but 242 + 2 to appeal to RVH successfully seems very, very far fetched. Hope you don't mind. But that said, unless of course, your child really something to offer to RVH, something which they are very desperate to \"grab\" for eg, otherwise, I would say chances are very, very slim. -

Hi vk2010,
How are your son's results? -
Hi all, i'd like to appeal to Dunman High. I got 255 + 2 for my PSLE & DHS's COP last year was 258. One mark difference only
Can anyone tell me how to appeal and when I can start appealing???
And, will Dunman High lower its COP this year? Coz the national top score this year as compared to last year has a really great difference, 8 marks lei!
Help? :?:
P/S: Can i appeal with leadership? Coz i'm a prefect in school & participated in the Head Prefect Election + organised many activities.
