Hi, I am thinking of signing up my son for the following weekend programme. I would like to hear some comments or advice from parents whose children have been or are currently attending these classess. Is it useful or beneficial?

      (1) Children’s Arts by Mr Pan Bao Xing

      (2) Total English by Ms Yap Poh Hua

Actually my original intention is for my son to go for the Badminton but as he’s also having swmming on Sat, I am concern that having 2 sports in a day may be too much for a yound kid.

      Appreciates any comment/advice, thanks!

My son is in 1D during orientation. He looked kinda dejected when he returned to the hall on orientation day and passed us a letter which advised us to sign him up for english camp. We did not probe what exactly happened during the assessment but reckoned that he may have realised he's weaker than his peers. Felt so bad for him, wonder if it's my fault for not sending him for all sorts of enrichment in his earlier years 😢 I think I'm more stressed out than him.

Any parents out there are sending the kids to before sch care?
I'm sending DD to Polaris. She'll be starting in mid Dec.

Dun worry. i nvr send DD to these enrichment classes too. She's already overwhelmed with her current ECA- ballet, gymnastics and music. Me and hub are lazy parents. We left her to finish her homework and learn her own spelling when she was in pre-school.

Hi, may i know all the books purchased been given to us? Mine short of 3 books (publisher: NCPS), suppose to keep by the school or will pass to us when school reopen? My blur hubby didn't asked them la, so blur... 😞

I think it is better to send my DS to the 10 days camp, scare he might not be able to catch up with the class later. kaisu a bit...hahaha

My girl shared the same thing about English. Something like the teacher make a sound like 'ber' (as in the sound of the letter B) and the children needed to circle the picture that starts with the same letter. She said it was easy peasy, too boring.

Maths, every student came out to answer a simple Maths problem and then pressed a number for the next student to answer :?

For Chinese, think they need to read a passage, then after which write their name in Chinese and paste the sticker on their clothes.

So they will re-shuffling of class again? So should i not label her school books yet until the letter comes along?
Based on last year's experience, the orientation class is temporary. There will be another letter to inform you the actual class. For us the letter on the orientation stated it very clearly that this is the arrangement.

According to my husband who bought my kid's books last year, the supplier passed some of the books like English worksheet and a couple of other texts directly to the school.

The 3 books will be kept by the school. that's why when you buy textbooks, the lady asked for your child's name and tick it so they know the 3 books have been paid for (but not collected). I only realised later why they did so....

Is it so? For mine, it states \"Your child will be placed in Primary 1H in 2011\". It's \"2011\" and not \"orientation day\". I am quite surprised to hear that the class is only for that day.
