      RRMummy:

uhmmm.. .worth it ONLY if the kids are not resentful / hate parents, studying, school, teacher.. otherwise, I say not worth it...don't know if my mentally will change in 6 years time.. .I sure hope not for the sake of my DDs.. ๐Ÿ™

I get the general feeling that for those who may be on the careless side, might do poorer this year due to the easy paper(s)... not sure..

good that you are sensitive to their feelings.. hope they get over the disappointment soon and give their kids full support to move to the next chapter of their lives..
Of course I understand their disappointments. I also parent mah.

At the end of the day, we must remind ourselves that PSLE is just the first milestone, then we can put things into perspective.

Wow! Rulangโ€™s results are amazing! 32 4A*! Couldnโ€™t believe it when I heard from my relative whose daughter is studying there this year. Seems like some of the pupils from average ability classes did very well too. My friend said 1 pupil from an average ability class got 4A* with aggregate score of 262 + 3! Wonder which class cos my relative said that so far only pupils from the top two classes got 4A* in the past years.

                    Hi Sotong1209,

During orientation, we were told that we are allowed to see the kids before they go into class and when they come out for recess. We were told to observe them from afar. They will have prefects to accompany them.

So maybe after they have left for class, you can go home and come back during recess time. Alternatively you can also join the Parent seminar happening during the first 2 days. Not sure whether seat are still available. You might want to call the School to check.

Hello again.. been away for a while.

Yes, my daughter will be in P1 in 2011. >> Thanks RRMummy for adding! ๐Ÿ™‚
                        She is in 1C.

Sad situation for me... i missed the orientation. Nonetheless, I've bought the books online and will be collecting them this saturday. I've not bought the uniforms though. Was reading the note that there is a new design of polo tee, but is only available in the last week of Dec?

                        Just some questions:

What does the kid need to bring on the 1st day of school? I don't recall reading anything about this.

Is there a name-tag to be pinned on the uniform for the 1st day?

Sorry if I am asking questions that are deemed \"too basic\". <shame>

                        cheers!
