Aiya, just wait for a few more months and back here to confirm if Innovative is indeed the best class. Only those have 12/12 good & V good during screening are in this class so you say is this the best class or it could be the best over prepared class.

My girl (p1,2010) class was quite divest, meaning some bright children scoring above 90% while some failing. They will be going to the same class next year. As level position is not indicated in the report book, it is really hard to tell about best class, unlike P3.

I joined the parent volunteer group (Passion) and found participating in Contact Time helped me understand my child's class better. So if you can spare some mondays about 2 hours to take the class for activities, mainly art and craft, it would help you know your child's classmates. So when your child tells you about some happening in the class, you know what he/she is talking about. πŸ˜‰

My son is in 1 Inno also in 2011. He has sibling in CFS also. As mentioned, they are placed in class according to phases that they are registered, not by merit of screening test.

                      Jeanette,

How do we know whether our kids are in good class? Anyway to find out? My girl will only attend P1 next year and I am not sure whether my girl's class is good or not. How to judge?

For lower Primary, parents involvement in coaching is inevitable if we want our kids to do well. Even if we engage a tutor for our kids, as a parent, we should be involved in monitoring their work too. And like you said, study with them which I am doing right now and can be quite stressful as I have already return most of my knowledge back to my teachers....:)
Not sure if there are best classes in P1 and P2 though. Most siblings are in the same class as far as I know. As for P3 onwards, your kids will try you which are the best classes. normally there are 2 best classes, it is no secret.
