Hi all. I would like to seek the wisdom and experience of all xstudents/parents of DHS. I was very impressed by the mission/depth/facilities of the high school. The only issue i have is that my ward comes from a English school and English is the language she is most comfortable in , tho she scored A for her psle chinese and is eligible for HMTL. Will she be able to fit into the dominant chinese culture in DHS? Do all the kids in DHS speak in chinese only and will the english speaking students be slighted by teaches and the general student body? Pls advise. Thanks a lot

My gal speaks both languages in school and at home. Most of her class/ school mates also come from ehglish speaking families.
Not to worry abt not be able to blend into the school as there is no overly emphasis of chinese lang.
The school do celebrate more extensively for chinese festivals, such as Chinese New Year and mid-autumn festivals
but that's a good thing as we are chinese afterall

from GPA 2.4 to 2.8
my gal's teacher haven't mention anything abt it this yr,
she did say abt it last yr but no confirmation yet.

she did say abt it last yr but no confirmation yet.

hi. yes confirm going up to 2.8 or 3 GPA.
few days ago i met my gal FT, so i rem u told me abt the GPA going to change, so i ask her. and she say yes. but the sch will talk to kids. and let them know. when i dont know.

If GPA=2.8 meaning at worst, every subjects must be at least a \"B\"
for HCL, can only get a \"B\" no need to see.......
somemore, they are thinking of GPA=3.0 :lol:
