        naggo-nitemare:
at the NYPS psle results day, the principal explained tt she had time to flash only the names of the sch's top scorers up to joint 9th position even though there were several more GEP kids who made it to the national top 100 list. As the joint 9th score was 271, this means tt 270 is in the national top 100.

There is one such list ?
        Any links....

It's possible that such a list (and other similar analysis/lists) are available; but such lists are not available to the common folks like you and me. They are meant for the eyes of the high-level staff (the P, the V/Ps) in the school. This is my guess.

At the very least, you can get some rough info http://www.moe.gov.sg/media/press/files/2010/infosheet-psle-2010.pdf.

In the material given to each school there is (as far as I can remember) a list of values describing the distribution of PSLE scores. This allows the school to calculate who is in the top 100 by inspection of the ranked PSLE scores for that school. So, for example, if I tell you that the 100th best score is 268, then you can figure out who in your school is in the top 100.

Then again, it's been ages since I last saw such data, so I might be mistaken. 🙂

Do you know how many schools that do not have PSLE school candidates for PSLE 2010 exam?As far as I know, there are 2 schools for this year (2010):
North Vista Primary and Horizon Primary.

Do you know whether there are any additional primary schools other than the above mentioned 2 primary schools that didn't have any PSLE school candidates for 2010 PSLE exam?

                Thks.
                Wink[/quote]Hi Vanilla cake,
Another school came to my mind - Beacon Primary

For the schools with GEP, just a suggestion to indicate whether the top scorers are from the GEP classes - coz for Rosyth, top 3 scorers(to my knowledge) came from GEP, NYPS top 5 scorers came from GEP etc…

These schools are "top" because of the GEP students, but i think the mainstream results would be a better determinant of whether a school can deliver results.

For RGPS, top 15 scorers all above 270, all from the GEP classes ... hmm

Are you sure? The chart shows Compassvale's top is at 274.

                        Hi yongjianrong,

Have you read the numbers over http://www.mindstretcher.net/home/Latest/top-psle-student-is-a-mind-stretcher-student.html?
BTW, \"livewith_vanilla\" was a 2010 P6 student from Compassvale. She is a helpful, smart and resourceful girl. 😄

Do you have any idea for the number of Primary Schools that have P6 students that took part in PSLE 2010 exam? There are 178 primary schools' websites (see http://app.sis.moe.gov.sg/schinfo/index.asp) and so far 3 Primary schools - Beacon, North Vista and Horizon are known not to have any P6 candidates for PSLE 2010 exam.

Could you pls add 5 more schools - CHIJ Our Lady Queen of Peace (269), Da Qiao (265), Haig Girls' (272), Monfort Junior (263) and Xinmin (266x2 students) to the current list of 101 schools?

                        Thks.
