... and ends up with half the name covered...

I don't quite understand what you meant, Mrs Bongz? Here's where you are supposed to sew the name tag. Hope it helps.

Hi E3, thank u for the detailed description.. the shirts have very little space between the word \"presbyterian' and the pocket. so when I sew the name on, the name will be half-covered by the pocket. (eh, the name is not supposed to be on the pocket rite? )

I believe it only affects the new shirts, cos I saw the pic on the PH website, it looked ok, only when I tried to sew on, I realised there isn't enuff space..

I just looked at my dd's photos with boy classmates. Their name tags were sewn ON the topmost part of their pockets, near the seams of the opening.

I sew the name tags on the pocket as E3 said. Don't know there was some rules about it.

Think you are right... I managed to sew my ds name tag just above the pocket and there is enough space... My ds uniform was bought last year.

oh.. so there isn't any hard n fast rule? I was unsure, so I checked PH's website.. I've sewn it directly under the 'presbyterian', covering up part of the 'y' hahaha.. oh well.. see wat happens when school re-opens then.. if there is proper guidelines lah.. too lazy to re-do now. πŸ˜›

Noticed that PH is very slow to update their PSLE results on their website. I took a look at their website and the latest PSLE results posted were 2008 ones :faint: .

Many other schs have already posted their latest PSLE outcome (yr 2010). I know that 2009 was the yr PH made great strides in her results. And this yr should also be a yr of good harvest. Yet the results were not published on their website. Is this the valued asian characteristics of modesty πŸ˜‰ . However branding is so impt nowadays especially with the ubiquitous nature of the Internet. Think they need to employ me as their brand manager, keke.

<< the above post is meant to be light-hearted, pls don't wallop me >>

Sir, no need to brand anymore...school is reputable enough...except that it has yet to produce a top PSLE scholar. Maybe that will happen when ALMIGHTY leaves the school. πŸ˜‰

I do think it is also tougher. Not that I am for or against it, but the recent changes to class distribution will evenly spread out the good students in 2 class, this will remove the high competitiveness and influence to excel higher due to the competition. Thus in general, the competitive will drop.

Rosyth produce 2 out of the Top 3 this year. Their top P6 class this year is also one of the most competitive in recent years. Somehow, they spurs each other to greater heights. So the likelihood of PH to produce a Top PSLE scholar is lower, though not totally impossible.

So, no top scholar but the general cohort will improve and that will benefit all parents. :celebrate:
