SCGS last 4yrs no ballot within 1km for 2C.scgs has rejected me as a parent volunteer. No chance to go 2B liao
I am curious how many scgs has recruited their PV yearly. Or non?
My girl will register P1 in YR 2010.
And NC route is not suitable for me becos of heavy time commitment.
So want to seek your expertise advise.

Because if you're saying that your parents are guardians of your child, you need to make a statutory declaration and also you will qualify under 1-2km even though you stay within 1km of the school.

It's like asking will the stock market goes up tomorrow? Or will the economy recovers by next year. Ha! Ha! Ha!!!   Your question too is a million dollar question to me.
I can only say based on last few years statistics there is high chance no ballot.
But like what most stock analysts said: \"history may or may not repeats itself\".

Best thing is to watch the situation and see how many vacancies there are left after earlier phases. I think Nanyang has a bigger intake than SCGS so number of vacancies may be higher. But then again it's co-ed so you might have more children applying there. Good luck! Both are very good schools. Just depends on which one's more suitable for your child.

Different schools have different cultures. Some are more academically-inclined. They do a lot more homework and have less focus on CCAs and other activities. Some schools are more holistic and less focused on academics. Some are more into aesthetics.

Will your child thrive or wilt under pressure? Is CCA important to your child? Go to the open houses if there are any and see if you like what you see. -
I would say for most kids, which primary school they go is decided by the parents. It is when come to secondary then the kids will have some say; but it will still depends on the PSLE result by then.
