One of my friends whose son is going to HCI next year has already bought his uniforms and textbooks from the school bookshop. She said she obtained the booklist from the bookshop.

Thanks for informing…
Wow! your friend is really quick. I planned to take the list and go on 23rd and probably go back another day. No hurry. Not sure if they still use "village by the sea" next year? -
Anyone whose children has got into HCI via the DSA? How tough is it through this mode?

San03, it is difficult to say \"how tough\"
Based on my observation, if your DS is from GEP stream, it is \"easier\" to get the DSA offer. As for mainstream students, almost all of those I know who got DSA offer (through academic) also did very well (above their COP last year) for PSLE. Hence, it seems to me it is easier to get into HCI with PSLE scores than through DSA. I am referring only to those who apply through academic. Of course, if your DS is strong academically, there is no harm going for DSA. It is always good to have an offer on hand before PSLE, isn't it? -

Heard some are SMOP platinum winners who maybe from mainstream are in ispark.

For this batch of P6, tscore 265 (assume exclude HCL) and abv may not be a lot in this school. Guess mainstream pupils got to wait till 23 Dec to be told if he is in ispark and meanwhile cannot buy books yet.
