We will receive call from the bus co this coming monday for Yishun Area.yes I have heard back from the school bus driver but my pickup point is in woodlands so might be different if you stay in a different region
does anyone know whether there are any flexibilities with the school bus arrangement, like pick up in 1 location (ie to school) and drop off in another location (ie off school). I would imagine if these are in different regions, then different school buses need to be boarded on/off for the kid. Does the school bus company allow such an arrangement? -

You will have to check with the bus service company. Perhaps you have to pay for 2 single trips fare instead on 2 way trip since pickup and dropoff is at different destinations. -

My friend’s child is studying in CF. She would like to check if there is any student care centre in the school and how much would the fee be and if there is any subsidy or any scheme for the low income family. Btw, are the teachers there good? Thank you.

There isn't any student care centre in CF. However, there is one which is near the school. It is call Star of the Sea before/after school care. I have enrolled my girl to the centre. I think the vacancy for P1 is full. Monthly fee at Star of the Sea is $250. If total family income is less than $1500, parents can apply for subsidy. I cannot recall how much will be subsidise as I am not eligible for the subsidy hence did not pay attention to the amount when I went for the orientation in mid November.
As for proficiency of teacher, I am not too sure. -
Any idea what do the kids do at the student care centre? Are they properly supervised? Will there be centre staff that pick the children to/fro school?

There is routine schedule for the kids.
7 - 8am - Kids are expected to read 2 books. One English & one Chinese.
8 - 9am - Breakfast
9 - 10am - Teacher will teach and give assessments to do
- Activity
10 - 11am - Bath Time
11 - 12pm - Lunch
12pm - Teacher will gather all P1 & 2 kids together and bring them to
CF.
* Child is expected to finish their school homework at home. If under unforeseen circumstances, the child cannot finish at home, need to inform teacher. The child will not have any activity for that day and he will use that timing to finish his/her school homework.
* Teacher will only correct the assessment given to the child from the centre. Any other assessments not given by the centre will not be corrected by the teacher in the centre.
* Friday will be no assessment day. The teacher will bring the kids for outing. (For P3 - P6 kids only). Not relevant to P1 & 2. -
Good routine.

Jojo,
Have you heard from the Bus company already? I still have not receive any call yet.
Also did u receive call from school teacher on what to bring on first day of school? One of the mummies mentioned she has received call from the teacher informing her on what to bring on first day of school.
So far, I have not heard from both sides.
