Colleague was asking me if next year school will start Jan 4, Tues rather than Mon. I checked MOE website and she is right! A makeup holiday for Jan 1 because it falls on a Sat?


Would have taken leave on Jan 3 and sent ds1 to sch! Haha...

Yup...got hubby to take leave as both are going to primary school next year and got 1/2 day to enjoy.

BTW I still not received any letter from the school regarding change of class name. As per P1 orientation letter, the assigned class for my DD was Peace 1.


Can someone confirm if we should be expecting some letter to inform otherwise? :?

2 of my churchmates with kids gg to P1 next year told me that the class name will also change. They called up school to confirm. Should. Otherwise some names like loyalty 1/2/3/4/5/6 will be duplicated.

I am not sure if they have 4 top classes for Pri 3, since the number of classes have reduced from 12 to 9 (class size increase from 30 to 40)...

Yes, school starts on 4 Jan next year. It was indicated in the class posting letter.

Sth unbelievable happened to my boy’s classmate. The letter that came in ytd wrote Teamwork 7. On close inspection, one can tell a ‘6’ was written previously, then changed to ‘7’. Today the mother went to the sch and found out that the right class posting shld be ‘6’. The classmate is so sad.

Why so messy now? I was quite pleasantly pleased when receiving the orientation letter with everything stated nicely & orderly, what class, which house, what books to bring daily & on which days...

‘Responsibility’ for P3 ? Long word for a class name.

Thought the classes for P1s should have been settled but why the big change now ? Creates more mess and confusion for the little ones and their parents as well.
