      beside the door, still ok....
so long the bed is not inline with the door's entrance, so as when lying down the legs are not facing the door.
best position as i was told is the farthest end diagonally,
able to see the door but not inline with.
yup something like that lor as long as not directly facing the door ok.
they said the spirits will come in the middle of the night n draw away ur \"qi\" lor.
but if u dun believe all these nonsense then no problem lor.

the Taoists have strong belief of Taboo & superstitious stuffs.

Only the deads are placed facing the main door with legs pointing at it. The coffins of my grandma & dad's are placed facing e house entrance like that in the 2 funeral wakes not long ago. That was taoist ceremony, not sure if Buddhism and other religions do the same way?

We were told since young not to sleep at position with legs directly facing the door, maybe that brings bad luck?

they also said during funeral wakes must make sure no cat, especially black pregnant cats, jumps over the deceased or else β€˜he/she’ might wake up.

true or not not sure leh.

              oh.....for this, i had a \"strange encounter\" when i was in one of the hotel's room.....

i could see the images of the movement of my bedroom slippers, (i was lying on the bed)after which i remembered this saying, i quickly moved my slippers,
placing one of them upside down.
immed i woke my hub up, but he could not see anything after i had moved my slippers
and he din believe what i had seen 😒

:!: :!: my gosh that was scary... shouldnt be putting the shoes properly from now on(in hotel)

yes, lkvm, it was indeed scary when i first noticed the \"dancing images of my bedroom slippers\"
but i told myself, Cool down, don't be nervous, let's watch what happened next..........

i heard that in hospital wards, when the dead are pushed out of the ward,
it will be in a position where the legs are pushed out of the door entrance first before the head....
don't know how true it is.

there are 2 schools of thoughts in this case:
                      1) hospital policy
                      2) folk-lore

                      1) hospital policy: legs out 1st instead of head in case along the way got emergency trolley crashed into the corpse trolley the legs kana chopped off 1st rather than the head flies away.
                      2) folk-lore: if head 1st is like other people may also follow the way since head means leader mah.
