is my chance slim if my score is 249+3???????????????????:( is being a choir member(pri school) an advantage if i appeal to rv as choral is rvhs's niche area? i was told by my math teacher that my chance of getting into rv (by appealing)is not high... so i am very worried now
Unless you perform well in choir. Not sure for appeal, would they test your singing? No harm trying. -

I stay in woodlands too, dd used to take the sch bus, pick up at 6.30am, reach sch abt 7.20. If take mrt then change bus at BL, whole journey including waiting time is abt 45 mins.Fruitee:
Thanks for the reassurance, my bro also nv take higher chinese, hope he can catch up.
Weihan:
Ooo then i think quite high chance if he appeal thru choir. But he mentioned to me he wanted to join table tennis in sec sch, my dad even bought a table tennis table.
i asked him what if must take choir to go RV, he says that if he join choir he'll also take table tennis, but 2 CCAs will be too taxing. Somemore we stay woodlands, need take 1 hr+ to RV and back home.
Table tennis is not easy to get in. They would go thru trials. -

Ya, dd complained always reach sch at 7.20 or 7.25. She decided not to continue anymore. One advantage of sch bus, got seat n sleep all the way. haha....
Hello WeiHan,WeiHan:
I just found out that there is a school bus from Woodland to RV.
Where is the pick up point? Is it direct from woodlands to RV or it stops along the way to pick up other students ?
I knew about one last year but it stops at Marsiling, Yew Tee and CCK before it goes to RV, quite a long distance so we gave it a miss. -

Cos we don't stay near woodlands mrt, still need to take bus.

I study at Ntu and journey to sch is about same as RV, i usually take at least 1hr to reach.
School bus is still slightly faster and can just sleep all the way. haha
I guess he'll have a better chance at choir, just finished writing appeal letter, going RV later with him! -
Finally, registration is done. It was quite easy, just that filling in the particulars in the comp lab took quite a while. Got to answer sooo many irrelevant qns like grandfather, grandmother's birthday and phone numbers.
The Q for books was very fast, but the Q for uniform seemed like a nightmare, SO long and SO slow. Luckily I bought the uniform already.
