I just found out that there is a school bus from Woodland to RV.

        Hello WeiHan,
Where is the pick up point? Is it direct from woodlands to RV or it stops along the way to pick up other students ?
I knew about one last year but it stops at Marsiling, Yew Tee and CCK before it goes to RV, quite a long distance so we gave it a miss.

Ya, dd complained always reach sch at 7.20 or 7.25. She decided not to continue anymore. One advantage of sch bus, got seat n sleep all the way. haha....[/quote]I also don't know. optopusmum called up the school to ask. I think it is the one daisyt talked about.

I stay in woodlands too, dd used to take the sch bus, pick up at 6.30am, reach sch abt 7.20. If take mrt then change bus at BL, whole journey including waiting time is abt 45 mins.

Table tennis is not easy to get in. They would go thru trials.
Cos we don't stay near woodlands mrt, still need to take bus.
I study at Ntu and journey to sch is about same as RV, i usually take at least 1hr to reach.

School bus is still slightly faster and can just sleep all the way. haha

I guess he'll have a better chance at choir, just finished writing appeal letter, going RV later with him!

Finally, registration is done. It was quite easy, just that filling in the particulars in the comp lab took quite a while. Got to answer sooo many irrelevant qns like grandfather, grandmother's birthday and phone numbers.

The Q for books was very fast, but the Q for uniform seemed like a nightmare, SO long and SO slow. Luckily I bought the uniform already. šŸ˜„

is my chance slim if my score is 249+3???????????????????:( is being a choir member(pri school) an advantage if i appeal to rv as choral is rvhs's niche area? i was told by my math teacher that my chance of getting into rv (by appealing)is not high... so i am very worried now

Unless you perform well in choir. Not sure for appeal, would they test your singing? No harm trying.

aiyo then my chance will be terribly low šŸ˜ž

yes. There are so many more girls than boys. I think the ratio is abt 2 girls to 1 boy.

The male student who brought us around during open house told us that boys are very valuable in RV, there are just so few boys. So boys have the advantage when it comes to audition or trial for CCA. Less boys to fight for the limited places.
Daisy, your dd is helping out today?

                      Hi all,

Please help to provide informations on the school bus....
My daughter will be joining RV S1 next year, but we r staying in Pasir Ris!! Wonder if there's any school bus travel from Pasir Ris to RV in the morning? or I'll have to sacrifice my morning sleep to drive her to school everyday next year..... siong ah!!!
Will any senior RVs give me advice on how's the traffic along PIE and time required if by MRT to Jurong during the morning rush.
My family just returned from Beijing and RV is her first school in S'pore.
                      Thank you!!! šŸ™ šŸ™ šŸ™

                        Hi,

I think you should call up the school to ask about the bus service. There should be one from the east. I think from Pasir Ris to Boon Lay is extremely far even by train. I use to take train from the west to Pasir Ris and I know the hassle and boredom (I only do it once in awhile, what about doing that everyday?) unless you do some meaningful reading in the train. I think the train from Pasir Ris to the city will be congested in the morning, then from City to Boon Lay will gradually lightened up.
