          Hi comfy,

Glad to read your post again...do pop by once a while. You are still very welcome.

          Hi E3,
When is your #2 going to P1 ?

          Hi markfch,
What is PH so nice to offer the P1s ? :?
Plan a time-table and revise with son...weekends can still afford to play.

It's Christmas eve...it will be Christmas in another 4 hours. Merry Christmas.

I have yet to master the skill of relaxing...esp during festive periods.
Just repacked daughter's school bag last night...also checked to see if all her books and stationery are labelled.

              Hi,

It's good to see PHPPS networking group and it's really amazing active.
I and my wife bought son's school bag yesterday and start to prepare his first of school. It's really fun to do it and recall myself when my parent bought my first school bag around 30 years ago. I remember clearly that I was jumping and keep hold the bag until I slept.
My son seems don't like his first school bag.

Unfortunately, I have another problem other than school bag. I lost the paper that shows what text book and things to bring for first week. My son is joining Peace class. Anyone can share with me the information on that paper? Can I get one more copy from school? Please advice me how I can get the copy of paper again.

I just wanted to see what text book I should teach him before 1st day of school. I think I need to learn more how to keep important paper. 😄

              Merry Christmas !!

              Joony

Guess what...i only received my p3 son's letter on class posting yesterday. We called on 16/12 when we still didn't receive it. PH said to let them know again on 17/12 if still no letter. So we called on 17/12 again and they promptly sent a new one. We received the new letter on 20/12 (stamp dated 17/12). Then yesterday we received the first letter with stamp dated 10/12! I wonder where did the first letter go during the last 12 days.

I would suggest you read his textbook to have a feel. As for teaching him in advance, it may not be a good idea in my opinion...esp for Maths. The reason is such - your child may have learnt what you have taught and will feel bored when his school teacher teaches the class...making him unattentive. Also sometimes our method of teaching may be different. My hubby 'learns' how son does his Maths according to what the teacher has taught...step-by-step so as not lose any precious marks for problem sums.

However I also heard that at P1/P2 level (not specifically PH), there is very little homework and most kids will be able to finish everything in sch. So can't be so bad what.

No lah...not frightening the parents of kids going to P1.
I don't remember my son bringing homework back at lower primary...even then, it can be done in 1/2 hour.

This year however, he had loads of homework almost everyday...no choice have to help him or he won't be able to sleep. Hubby helped him with art & designing while I helped him with non-significant stuff and he just copied. You mean P5 is going to be worse ? OMG. :!:
