Hi E3,

The P3 are taught All of Diversity (Living and Non-Living Things, Animals, Plants, Fungi & Bacteria and Materials in T1 and T2. These topics are tested in SA1 2010.
For T3 & T4, all topics in Plant and Human Systems are taught. So for SA2, Diversity and Systemms are tested.
Just thinking about something, comfy ........... first day of sch next yr make sure your dd don't report to the wrong school ok? :rotflmao:

I have checked with my dd's classmates and seem that the whole class has moved up enbloc. i checked only with a few of her classmates and their class position were far apart from each other.....so what you heard was untrue.

Eh, but I heard from my friend that his child went from Grace 1 to Respect 2? But this child is neither top3 in class nor top 10 in standard.

the allocation of p2 classes was based on the sequence of level position of each top student of p1 classes. for eg. if the top p1 comes from Truth 1, then the whole of Truth 1 will go to Respect 1. then follow by second in level, for eg. Grace 1, then the whole of Grace 1 will go to Respect 2. The top P1 student should come from Respect 1. But not the whole class. i think this is the way they do it.....
Wow! Thanks php! πŸ˜„

Dear Parents (who have kids in morning session), may I know how is the traffic condition in the morning? Is it very chaotic? Also, any pros and cons of sending front and back gate? I've always been using the back gate for the past 2 years but was wondering if it would be better to use the front gate in the morning next year. πŸ˜‰ πŸ˜„ TIA!

Eh...there are two 1st in levels in P1 this year according to my dd, both from different P1 classes so your theory above falls thru liao. Think of another one. πŸ˜‰

Unfortunately I'm unable to take leave during the first day of sch due to work commitments. So I'll ask dw to jot it down instead. But must forewarn you that dw has a totally laissez faire attitude towards all things academic, so she may end up recording the wrong things  .

This year, the presentation slides were uploaded to the school website. Hopefully, you can find them there if the IT guy is on the ball. PHPPS is lacking behind in this area, hope that he will be more on the ball in future but i doubt so....

Maybe you can help πŸ˜‰
You are from the IT industry right?
yes, in IT.
maybe not IT guy's fault. should be admin manager not following the trend...

haha.... i m very sure. just that i can't put everything down. too long winded. just want to keep it simple.

if that happen, it will be based on the second criteria, that is the second position of the class. for eg. 1st of level comes from Truth 1 and Grace 1. which is the better class will depend on the level position of the second position in the class.

if any second position of the class is ahead of any top position of the other classes, then his position will be given a miss. this happen in this year p1 ranking.

Yes, PHP, I still have two sets of uniform (both PHPPS and NYPS) side by side at the moment. But will be removing one of them soon at the end of this week. Anyways thanks and perhaps  at my expense!

Hi E3, for P3 Science, they will cover the following :

Diversity - (1) Living & Non-living things, (2) Animals, (3) Plants, (4) Fungi & Bacteria and (5) Materials.

Systems - (1) Body Systems and (2) Plant Systems
Thanks, comfy and Happy Mama.

Sorry...getting long-winded again...Will Body Systems include Digestive System as well?

Another reason that I asked was also my friend's P3-to-be dd (from another school) was asked to buy only Diversity and Interaction books. Looks like different schools approach the themes differently.

Yes, for 2010 it includes Digestive System, but Interaction not included.
