Hi Parents,

Hubby & I are really worried for son when he goes to P5 next year...we received advice from kind-hearted parents to be prepared for tough time ahead...really don't know what and how to handle 😒 . On one hand, worried for him and have a younger one going to P1 and totally green to formal education. :nailbite:

Can anyone with related experience advise how to handle please ? Really appreciate.

Ya, E3, I must learn from you too πŸ˜‰ πŸ˜‰
Or better still, hire E3 as tutor then your kid can learn directly from her, no need to go thru you as 3rd party, keke.
Just received the letter from school for my P1 girl. For next year P1, the renaming of the classes is as follow:

Charity 1 --> Integrity-1
Faith 1 --> Integrity-2
Grace 1 -->Integrity-3
Hope 1 -->Integrity-4
Humility 1 -->Integrity-5
Joy 1 -->Integrity-6
Kindness 1 -->Integrity-7
Loyalty 1 -->Integrity-8
Patience 1 -->Integrity-9
Peace 1 -->Integrity-10
Truth 1 -->Integrity-11
Also, there will be a briefing on general school matters and curriculum for parents from 2 pm to 5 pm on first day of school, 4 Jan (Tue).

Wonder what takes PH so Long to Send Letter .... :?
Looks Like Very Direct Class Re-Naming to Me ....
:roll:

Direct .... for P1 only
P2-P6 ... not so direct liao
Aiyah .... Not So Complicated Either ....
Just Reverse the Order for Top Class, etc ....
Like for P6 - Resilience 10, 9, ...., 1

Right?
:lol: :lol:

Markfch, apart from CCA Koyok.

P will also sell the academic koyok .. to encourage parents to be involved in their kids work. It is also quite common that they will use the P1 first day to reveal the 2010 PSLE result. Remember to copy stats down and share share here. πŸ˜‰ TIA

Unfortunately I'm unable to take leave during the first day of sch due to work commitments. So I'll ask dw to jot it down instead. But must forewarn you that dw has a totally laissez faire attitude towards all things academic, so she may end up recording the wrong things :lol: .

We've still got a long long way to go and lots to learn from all of you here. I don't coach my DD at home as I send her for enrichment classes. I will only coach her on all subjects during exam periods only. Hubby acts as the \"consultant\". πŸ˜‰ πŸ˜‰

If I become coach and have to demo on horsey, I would fear for the health of that horsey. Tell you a joke by Jack Neo & Moses Lim I heard donkey years ago.

Jack: Ooi Moses, I heard that horse riding can slim down.
Moses: I horse ride, but didn't slim down wat.
Jack: So who slimmed down?
Moses: Horse slimmed down.
Together: Hahahaha :rotflmao:

So lame rite? But then I thought that's also very funny.
