Eh, but I heard from my friend that his child went from Grace 1 to Respect 2? But this child is neither top3 in class nor top 10 in standard.

the allocation of p2 classes was based on the sequence of level position of each top student of p1 classes. for eg. if the top p1 comes from Truth 1, then the whole of Truth 1 will go to Respect 1. then follow by second in level, for eg. Grace 1, then the whole of Grace 1 will go to Respect 2. The top P1 student should come from Respect 1. But not the whole class. i think this is the way they do it.....

I think if I am not wrong for the Top 10 in standard, there are

1st x 2
3rd x 2
5th x 4
9th x 2

So quite hard to allocate that way.
will update everybody if i can find out more when school reopen....

I'm now cracking my head as to who's the top student in my DD's class. She's in Respect 1.

Cos the top three position in my DD’s class all went to the boys. I tried to look at the prize giving photos but can’t find any of the three boys leh. I knew two of them by sight.

As for the position, will ask when I see the parents around. Time to do some detective work.

If the 3 boys were not among the top 10 prize recipients, they will not know their level positions as level positions are no longer reflected in the report books this year. πŸ˜„

Hee hee not only that .. the mean/median/highest/lowest score for the cohort and class will still be given. πŸ˜‰
So for example, if a student get 80 for Maths and parent rejoice. Later discovered that the mean is 87 and the median is 90, the parent will still be stressed.

Welcome to Singapore Primary Education System.
