My son's first school bag was a trolley...it didn't last.

Then got a Lego SPI for him...lasted for 2 years. When he moved up to P3, that bag was too small. His present SPI active is still in good shape.
Traded in his old Lego bag for another SPI active for daughter who's going to P1 next yr. Got a good deal from trade in.

yes my one is SPI lego. so I am glad to know that she can use it for another 2 yrs. Thanks.

how do you traded your old bag? same spi shop?

The bag with SPI logo has 2 materials - one is matt, the other is shiny.
Son prefers the matt design (SPI active). As for trade-in, have to go back to Kinderfun to do so...Centrepoint branch is better as there are more designs. If doing a trade-in for new SPI, you enjoy $25 off. If no trade-in, new bag will be 15%...not sure if there are changes now.

Have you tried Bras Basah complex? There are quite many shops selling art supplies. If I had to look for such, it's either that, or Mustafa - seems they do stock everything under the sun as well. πŸ˜‰

Where do you guys buy labels?? Do you get the label machine or just write name on paper and then use scotch tape to paste on the stationery/bag? :?

For 'big' items like A4 size file, I use label printing machine to print & then scotch tape to paste over the label to prevent dropping off

The rest, I use self inking name stamp to stamp on labels, then paste everywhere - books, stationery, story books

I made a self-inking stamp for $10 with both English and Chinese name to stamp on back of the Chinese Word Cards.

I'm sure my hand will need MC if I were to label by hand! Especially I have no one else to outsource to!

                janet_lee88:
I used a marker to write my daughter's name on the pencils. For those Chinese word cards, I wrote daughter's name on all of them...divided into 4 stacks...hubby, myself, daughter and older boy all wrote her name on each stack.

Thought I saw at bookfest a counter offering productions of self-inking stamps for names?

But marker to write name on pencils...that's a bit delicate work right?
