If you remember, last year there was a surprise MA test after the final exams. It was to decide the MA banding for this year.

Oh, issit...I was unware what was it for. TFS!

I also not aware of the maths banding this year until my girl told me this afternoon. M1, 2 and 3.

I think the math banding is based on the scores of P3 math exams . my son's class didn't do the MA test after the final exams.
Really? Last year I remember some other parents here mentioning about the post exam test as well in this forum and said it is for banding purposes.

Hey, does anyone know what was the prize given in last year’s prize-giving award for the top 3 students in each class? Thanks.
My dd said FT would not be needing Math coursebooks, Science and Social studies. :faint: well...at least her bag will be lighter.

Last year also like that. Maths and Science all like new even at the end of the year except my girl's scribblings. Nvr brought to school.

Frankly, I think I flipped my son's science text last year more often than himself.
Well...FT did mention to the class that she'll try and use the texts nearer to exams...

Hi, have 2 DS ,#1due for p1 reg in 2011. Am contemplating 2 options:

                  1. Currently out of 2km of Peihwa, accepted under PV via appeal n asked to do 100 hrs! Felt but exploited now staying within 1km to Henry park (2c) as backup plan

                  2. Shift to within 1km to ACSJunior (2c). This yr was close shave (63 applicants for 64 spots)

Which should I go for?Starting to be concern about the importance of affiliation as heard neighborhood sec sch cut off pts at 230 level. Is it true ?
i came across the above posting in another thread....asked to do 100 hrs of PV? really such thing happening?
