Why does the school need to arrange the class P3 to P6 in that manner? is there really a need to reverse the order?

Could it also be there are more kids with the same overall score in the class, say no. 38,39,40,41 all scored the same?

Not likely. I heard that in the class, many students are transferees from other schools. These must be top students in their respective schools; in other words i believe there are a lot of \"dark horses\" (or crouching tigers) in the class.

You mean for eg. P2 transferees from other schools to P3 in PH? Possibly, although my dd told me that all her P3 classmates were from P2 classes in PH. They shared with one another. It's not difficult to know cos majority of them were her ex-P1/P2 classmates. One of her CH2 classmates transferred out due to distance and I think her place should be filled up by another PH kid.
No, I meant transfer from P3 in other schools to P4 in PH. For transfers, I don't think they will be put in top class of PH for 2 reasons -- unfair to top PH students, not sure if they are PH top class standard yet even tho they might be top in their own schools. So that could explain why you DD's top class only has PH students.

            45.

my son must have got it wrong then. he told me 42 students and majority are boys; while in Twk9, I understand the majority are girls.

Then who is correct? :? My son said 43 because some moved to other class and one or two not in after the first day of school. but majority are boys.
For the math lesson, my son said before they went in the class almost all girls, but when they move in, more boys than the girls. So the boy cheered!
Yes, that's basically what my son said too. he mentioned 42 then 43, so it was a bit vague to me. he said all pupils from twk7 and twk8 going to M1 class are boys. Seems like only the girls from twk9 can get into M1 class? teacher also mentioned all M1 pupils scored above 90 marks (or A* grade) in MA last year. So i guess the P3 impromptu test result was never used at all.

I had the same thought too. All the renaming is pointless. Just S band the last 5 classes will solve the problem right?

It Might Not B a Wise Decision to DROP CCA Totally in Pri
Thanks, Funx3 for your advice. My dd has been in a CCA since P1 and I am pro-CCA too. She'll join a CCA this year. I believe in well-rounded education, or rather better for her and myself as I will likely give her more work to do if she's home. πŸ˜„

I was only unsure whether CCA is compulsory in Pri school. All along, I assumed it was compulsory for upper Pri. Looks like it's different for PH.

Can anyone enlighten me on what does CME & FTGP stands for in P1 timetable? Thanks!

                  K I've realised CME = Civic & Moral Education.
So outstanding question is with FTGP πŸ™‚

I think is Form Teacher Group Period
Yes, class period time with FTs, they had replaced class CV lessons with FTGP. CV will be conducted as a mass study at the hall.
