      wormy:
I wonder -- do husbands of SAHM, without maids, help out in the household chores and ferrying kids to school? And for CNY springclean, who does it? Wife, both, or engage third party services.

      Care to share?
Dh helps alot daily, fetching DS1 home from sch in evenings, bathe the kids at nite, washing dishes when we eat at home & throw rubbish etc, as my batteries r going flat by then.

We did tot of getting our previous cleaning co. back to spring clean but in the end decided to just DIY together a task at a time on some weekends. Great 4 bonding! 😉

My sil mentioned that she is using a mini device that will run around in the house, not irobot, and it costs only 50 to 60 dollars. It looks like a ball and will go round and roll the dust into itself. You just have to change papers after that.

Anyone has used this before? She mentioned that the supplier is in macpherson area.

oh goodness, wat a 4getful mami i am. i totally forgotten abt younger children at getting infected more easily...hmm..we shall see if breast milk really does makes the immunity stronger....lol

          tks for sharing (=^o^=)

When my son first entered Nursery at 4, he will fall sick in Jan (fever, cough, running nose, sore throat) when school reopened, July after the hols as well as other seasonal period.
I gave him Milo and little breast milk every morn when he was in K2 (just had #2 then) and he hardly fell sick after that.

now maidless. after agent told her want to meet up with her bf, she lan lan do her job but it only last short while, i have to keep telling her off. until i found her playing with my baby's dick and always bringing him into the toilet when she does her biz, i sent her to the agency without hesitation.

now depending on my elder gal to help me cope with but after she goes poly, i have to get a maid again and i'm so skeptical abt having a gd maid cos till now (more den 10 maids) and i haven meet a gd one *_*

Told my hubby if there is extra income, getting a maid is not a bad idea...at least someone to do the cleaning...but the stress of having to handle another person in the household will be more stressful...the problems they give...not like I don't have enough headaches.
Talk to them nicely, these maids climb on the head. Strict with them, they put soap powder, run away or murder you.

With one of my Indon maids, she had problems with her teeth. Sent her to see doctor but she refused surgery...understand their culture but her tooth gave her fever.

                Hi all,

Really happy to chance upon this thread. My maid of 3 years is leaving in a few days time and I have decided not to have a new one after many bad experiences the past 14 years of having maids!

Besides being inspired through this thread, I have also learnt many household 'toys' that I hv decided to get - irobot, dryer & thermal pot 🙂

However I am still contemplating on the following and would like to hear from any users its effectiveness :

                1) standing steam iron - is it easy and good to use?
                2) dishwashing machine - any good brand to recommend?

                Thanks!

so for those who are using princess, novita and any other brands, pls let us know how is the result.

                  tks tks (=^o^=)

I treat my maid as my godmother. I’m thirteen, for your information.

WOW Alex001, I am proud that you are so respectful to your helper. Sorry I used the word helper as they usually help around the house. 😄

May I know your helper's nationality? Because my helper of 5 years, would like to go back home next year. She is my first helper and is very responsible and loves kids and she is from Indonesia. So I have to keep a look out.
