All About GEP

I think different schools have different ways of assigning classes. DD's school was not based on Cl or HCl. Rather random, maybe more to spread out the 'trouble-makers'.

I was told from P4 to P5 yes due to selection of HMT. For those who are still doing HMT, not sure whether there will be movement too?

Hi Comfy, may I know what is GA1? Is that the title of the book under Brain Teasers section? Wonder if the book is still around at Popular?comfy:
I mentioned earlier that I found some GA books in popular, well, I went to IMM Popular to look for it. The books are no longer on the shelf. I think it could be sold out. The section is under 'Puzzle/Game'. I don't know whether the popular saleman has moved it elsewhere but highly not possible.
For anyone still interested in knowing about GA1 in the selection test, I found another interesting book that will give an insight to what the GA1 is about. Please note that only some questions are similar according to my child. The book's title is 'Brain Teasers' under the brain blenders series. I found this book in West Mall Popular and it costs $5.89. -
Hi again
I'm a GEPer from RGPS P6 '10.
For RGPS, class sorting is random and the teachers spread the people with similar characters out into different classes.. or so I think. So each class has both troublemakers and academically better ones. However, class R from P Q and R always has the HCL pupils.TREX8:

Is P5 more taxing then P4…?? Yes, It is because they need to do IVP/IRS/FPS etc??

Yes it is. P4 is like a prep year for P5. You learn the skills required for application in P5. RS, various projects, Olympiads... all these add to the workload. Of the three GEP years, I would say that P5 is the toughest. P6 is a breeze. -
Hi jtoh, I was wondering whether to let her take music theory this year… not sure whether she can cope with it…

Hi herbie,
I think you know your dd best. As a guide, many of my dd's classmates continued taking their music and dance exams all through their GEP years. The workload is manageable.

hi Jtoh, What did they do for SS at P5 ? And what are the investigative maths topics ? TIA

Hi!
May I know what is ‘RPS’? My DD just asked me. It was in her timetable.
I think I had read about it in somewhere. But, forgot what is it.
Please Advise.
Thank you -
