Regarding Maths, hubby dearest has to take charge bcos yours truly is simply hopeless where models are concerned. I coach kids in Eng, Chinese and Science.

This Mummy Also Quite Hopeless on Maths Models.
In Fact Has Guided My Gal to Giving WRONG Answers for HW Assignments Quite a Number of Times!

My Gal will go, \"Mummy, See this Question I Ask U yesterday? U Use the WRONG Model and Teach Me the WRONG Method -la!\"

That's Why Has to Learn NEW Tricks from Her Book ....
Got Examples, Can COPY - la! πŸ˜‰ πŸ˜‰

I'm hopeless and since this is so, better let hubby teach. Last year, he taught son to use algebra and FT (Mdm Valerine Chen) explained to him not to use a method that is not taught yet...safer to use methods taught so that students use them often and get the hang of it.

Maybe I am also not keen in Maths, which is why this old dog cannot learn new tricks. 😒

Heehee! I used to be hopeless when it came to models and actually taught DD using Algebra when she was in Pri 1! But now..... I must say I am quite an expert in models! DH was impressed at my progress! Hopefully I am still able to keep up with models for Pri 3 Maths! πŸ˜‰ πŸ˜‰

Pei Hwa canteen food prices have been high since P1. A friend of mine told me this since her son was in P1 and that was like 5 years ago. She advised me to give my son more pocket money, esp on days when he had to stay back.

I just wonder if canteen operators in primary schools can standardize the prices. Don’t tell me premium schools or schools operating in Bukit Timah charge more.

Funx3, hiyah, this proves that it's not that I'm very old, but prices at PH inflates faster than other neighbourhood schools!! hahahah

I know St Mag's is selling food at similar prices.. but to b double of neighborhood schools?? it does seem too much.. What I know is that the school usually awards the canteen to 1 operator, who will in turn rent out the stalls and manage the stalls.. Dunno if there are any rules or guidelines abt the prices..

the mummies @ swim class even asked me what ingredients does PH's canteen add to the noodles to cost $1.20... no wonder most of you pack snacks.. πŸ˜„ I doubled the portion of snacks for my DS yesterday.. to compensate for 'inflated canteen prices'

didn't you come across the news in TV stating the prices at Bukit Timah Market was more expensive as compared to other areas because it was situated in the upper middle class district....

Pei Hwa website is reaching 500th page soon !

                      Hey parents,
Have your children been asked to buy the 'onsponge Maths' assessment book ? I called Popular and was advised to buy directly from school instead. Neighbour told me her son used 'Problem-solving processes' by Fabian Ng last year.

Saw this Onsponge Series of Assesment Book being Sold in PH Bookshop - Display Prominently during the school Hols.

This is not in my Gal's P6 BookList, but the \"Problem Solving Process\" is.
In P5 Last year, she also using \"Problem Solving Process\" - used by her Maths Teacher Very Often, and Assignments R from the Book, as well.

                      Very \"Challenging\" Book.

This Mummy has learnt quite a number of Maths Problem Solving
Skill as well from this Book - Never Too OLD to Teach New Tricks to Old Folks Like US, Right?
                      πŸ˜‰ πŸ˜‰

Hi Funx3, do you know if they have it for Pri 3? πŸ˜‰
