Could someone enlighten me which are the books that the children should leave in school and which are the ones that they should keep at home? Read from the various class blogs that some teachers are collecting everything from the students, while in my case, books brought to school are being returned back. Also, it seems that some books are kept in the classroom by the teachers, some are kept in the student's locker, some are to be kept below the student's desk. Which are which???

I am actually getting frustrated already as DD has different teacher for different subject. Do I have to go call the teacher up one by one and ask? :x
Just to share, i have my ds to only have his main 4 sub textbooks always in school bag. Most of them will be either under desk or locker. The teachers will allow them to take from locker if needed. Usually before June holidays they have to clear their desk and locker too and pack back again in Term3.

Oh, heard that some top students are in 3F. So most likely this might be one of the top class. 😄

it is a guessing game each year, for every level

          DS mentioned top 4 are 3E (?), 3F, 3H, 3I.

I am surprised that there will be 4 days of PE lessons per week!

That means the boys will be wearing PE attire to school for 4 days... but we have already brought 3 sets of uniform.... kids nowadays grow so fast! This should have been told to the parents in nov/dec...
Totally agreed with hmsg. should hv told us earlier. I oso bought 3 set of uniform.

U can forward the query to the form teacher first. Can follow up again at the meet the parent sessions.
Actually, I did, but the reply wasn't clear as well. Apparently, they are supposed to give some of those things to the teachers respectively, but during the first 3 days, the subject teachers did not have time to come by the classroom.

Yes, intend to clarify tomorrow when we tour the classroom, or at least, see it for myself. When I ask my kid what her other friends are doing, the answer was some brought everyting to school on the first day, some brought the optional material to school (which we didn't), some put below the desk... 😐

I think the supplier told us 3 days of PE... We bought 2 tops and 3 skirts. By the way, do girls wear the skirt over their PE shorts even on days of PE? Heard from others that in the past, girls just wear shorts on the days when they have PE.

I figured out subsequently that they should only leave the files, activity books and exercise books in school (although one PV told my DD to leave one textbook, which happens to be the first one that she brought, under her desk), but still, some of the files and exercise books were brought back home again, which really puzzled me. Anyway, no big issue... will just clarify with each of the subject teacher.

Btw, for the GEP P4 classes, my DS said there won't be lockers provided...maybe becoz they are all put in the former Nanyang Kindergarten \"quarters\" , that's why.

Any1 knows about this? Also have they been given the diaries yet? Or under the new principal, some things have changed? :?

If there are no lockers, it's really going to be tiring for the kids bringing the stuff back and forth, considering already the building is a distance away...
