Ya, she is d happiest member of our family. P2 dis yr. Still enjoyg school v much as no pressure yet. She was contemplating joing Chin Dance, came back on Wed saying her gd friends all joing CD as well. Last nite, burst through the front door and exclaimed dat she is doing Wushu instead and she showed me some of her v 'pro' wushu strokes... ha ha, was v tickled by her! Den she said her friends (named a few) are also joing Wushu. I told her to tink abt it as I'm sure next week, she'll hv other CCAs in mind.

Yup, u r right, must firm up by early nex week. But she didn't bring back home the list of CCAs avail for lower primary, so I'm not sure wat new ccas are in store for lower pri. For elder dd, she aldy has the cca memo and the list of ccas avail.

She started off with Gym in P1. P2, she was also involved in Speech and Drama (Sci expressions), not a CCA, but will take up a weekday all the way till July. So, do plan that she takes up a CCA that won't clash with Sp n drama days, if the P2s are still involved this year. Due to this mummy's freaking out on the hectic schedule of Rhythmic Gym from P3 onwards, we had decided to forgo it. That's why hats off to Funx3's girl who is so committed to her Gym CCA. My dd will join GB this year and carry on to the end of P6.

Hi, mommies whose kids are in Chinese Dance, may I know how many days will the kid need to stay back for practice per week? As they proceed to upper primary, will there be more practice days and what are the days? My girl says she is interested in Chinese Dance but Mon morning practice time clashes with her ballet lesson. May need to do some adjustment.

I heard about it too. You think it's even better than Berries?

For Exam-oriented .. yes. For creative writing, I think Busy Bee is better.

Rcxmum .. all \"hear say\" my dd is not there. So do not know which teacher is better.

Go to Tian Xia at Orchard.... Majority of teachers are good there.....[/quote]Hi... Beside Tien Hsia in Orchard... Any comment about Tien Hsia in Choa Chu Kang? I stayed in bt panjang... Many thanks! πŸ™‚

'In the face of...' is an idiom. It means when confronted with, threatened by or despite of the opposition. The noun form of the word 'challenges' means a call to engage in a fight, contest or competition.

So, the combined meanings will give the meaning of 'in the face of challenges', that is, 'when confronted with a fight, contest or competition' or 'despite the opposition from a fight, contest or competition'. That's what we'll write for the hw.

If anyone has a better meaning to it, feel free to share too! πŸ˜‰
