Go to Tian Xia at Orchard.... Majority of teachers are good there.....

Hi... Beside Tien Hsia in Orchard... Any comment about Tien Hsia in Choa Chu Kang? I stayed in bt panjang... Many thanks! πŸ™‚

well, initially my dd attended TH at CCK and i transferred her to Orchard when she was in P1. Place is bigger, about 16 classes...and teachers are definitely much better than those in CCK. imho....
Hi.. Many thanks^^ anyway no vacancies anymore in TH cck 😞

My dd will join GB this year and carry on to the end of P6.

Yeah!! :celebrate: Mine is thinking of picking up gym (non competitive) this year on top of her gb. Next mon/tue, she was informed to put on gb uniform to 'sell' the cca.
Is Chinese Calligraphy one of the CCA for upper primary? i am thinking hard what my dd should sign up due to limited choices...

See the link to the list of CCAs:

http://www.phpps.moe.edu.sg/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=39&Itemid=1

The schedule of timings might be updated on the Home Page of the website soon. It was up for most part of last year.

Thanks E3, i viewed that before. I am wondering whether they have purely Chinese Calligraphy in Chinese Society.
Dd has a friend in the same bus from Chi Society. I can get her to check.

Hi all, the other time a few mummies recommended Brother Labeling Machine. However, Popular staff was \"selling\" me Casio but I didn't dare to buy since most of you here use Brother.

Anybody has ever used Casio? Any feedback on Casio? Brother vs Casio? πŸ˜‰

I am not looking at any high end machine. Just a simple one will do, as long as it serves it's purpose. Thank you. πŸ˜„

Brother Machine Cheaper ....
But ....
Casio Refill Cheaper

So ....
U Decide -la!
πŸ˜‰ πŸ˜‰

Thanks Funx3. Hmmm... so.... refill cheaper more important right? Hehehe... πŸ˜‰ πŸ˜‰

Somehow I'm so glad there's no streaming from P1 to P2, seeing that ds still has that typical bo-chap attitude of his.

This is normal. Most kids go to P1 quite bo-chap.
When the SA1 result is out, those that tasted good result will continue to work hard. Those who did not do very well, parents will get more involved and monitor.

So streaming or not streaming, the \"bo-chap\" will also slowly disappear.
Unless, both parents and kids, also bo-chap. Then the sch will chap. πŸ˜‰ The LSP will still kick in 1st semester to help the weaker student.

Refill must be affordable and batteries pref use lesser...kids print and print since it's fun.

Honestly when you send your kids to Pei Hwa...most if not all parents will chap a great deal. No way can parents bo-chap.

Is it?? Cos DS wrote down that chinese spelling on Monday fr Pg 5 -8, and pg 8 has both characters and HYPY.. so I thought to double check. erm.. Markfch, masshiro... can confirm??

DS only wrote spelling from pg 5-8. He doesn't know whether it's HYPY or 汉字. He didn't even write which day is spelling scheduled. He's busy playing Risk now and said he'll just write both when I tried to verify with him just now.

Logically I think that it should only be HYPY as sch haven't taught 汉字 yet. You know what? I'm going to refrain from telling ds this & let him write both  . Hopefully the scolding he'll get from CL teacher will 'encourage' him to be more attentive in class.

I recalled dat it was only hypy spelling at first but not sure how long after it progressed to hanzi. But it's gd to practice both hypy n hanzi

Somehow I'm so glad there's no streaming from P1 to P2, seeing that ds still has that typical bo-chap attitude of his.
