well it does not make $$ sense to engage a cook to cook for only < 30 kids.

Pack food are normally pack in the morning and distribute out to centre late morning n are not so fresh. The fruit mostly solid item like apple or pear. No slice watermelon etc…

At least if the school encounter food poison, they can just push the blame to the caterer…

They profit oriented company, the leverage on their brand and squeeze out as much $$ from you!

        This apply to most CC…

Hello have you spoken to the principal or whoever it may concern about it?

Maybe you could raise your concerns to her.
I do agree with happydaddy to a certain extent as i know a few centers don’t really provide much quality but many are deceived by their branding and talks, but i personally feel that Pat’s is not one of such.
Just my 2 cents worth from what i have seen, they do have high standards and quality.

            J7mum,

Is it true they use catered food. Am dissapointed with such move.
Their school is so crowded and full, they should able to engage a cook to prepare fresh food for our kids.

How’s the teachers’ quality? The last time was there, their the chinese teacher quite pleasant. Seriously with their amount charged they should able to have good quality of teachers, environment & food.

                  Hi NataTL,

I registered him 3-4 months ago when they were having their open house…

I am actually quite disappointed with my boy’s Eng teacher. Despite she was from Philippines, during the pre-orientation, she dun seems to be able to manage the kids well… and she even ask me some funny questions that i find it irrelevant!

wonder if any mummies feel the same as i felt…[/quote]Hi thinkle bell,
hope yr son doing well in Pat’s Tanglin. I just read from another thread that this school is like toilet overcrowded and most important the meals are catered from outside?

Any comments or input from other branch mums? Am sure we prefer inhouse cooked and fresh food right?

                    Hi Thinklebell Lim,

Read thru the thread yr son will be attending Pat's school @ Tailing in Jan. So lucky. When you register with them? They only opened 1 Dec.
I poped by to enquire but Principle was not around and is scheduled to meet and view again only in Mid Jan. While there, I have viewed the curriculums and the area roughly. I feel aircon bit cold. But I really likes the curriculums seems like all under one roof. Their teachers all looks very plesant too. Can you please keep us posted on how your son doing there pls and I hope he will have a wonderful time there next week!

                    DC Mum,
Relax….. is good to let the school do the teaching and we can just enjoy playing time with our kids. Guess we only need to supplement with reading and moral educations. The school fees not cheap, with all the enrichment classes done in school, we parents why not relax our weekend? Need not ferry them here or there for classes, we can bring them to zoo, botanic garden instead. what you think?

I think the teachers are of good calibre and are trying their best. However, their administration seriously needs to buck up and stop piling unnecessary work on the teachers due to a lack of aunties. They face a shortage of aunties or helpers to cook food, bring food to class and clean up and I think that is an issue that needs immediate reconciliation. I’ve seen the principal being furiously busy so I guess they are really shorthanded. Otherwise, I think the toilets are rather adequate and the outdoor play area is fantastic.
