hey parents, how much do you pay for the ccas? DS brought home a slip for table tennis, stating that its $220 for 20 lessons… is this for competitive table tennis? or for all p1s who sign up for table tennis… quite confused… thought it was very expensive for a cca…

i got that too...should be non-competitive....i was shocked seeing that figure but anyway i signed dd up since there aren't any other suitable ccas for her....i was telling that for that $220 spent, she better learn and know how to hit the ping-pong ball and not to go there picking the ball instead.... -

Finally, her P3 class received the long-awaited 默写 list. It was not Killer as I had expected, at least not yet, I guess.
finally, my dd received her first moxie list in these school years!!
no wonder, she told me, many her classmates could speak out the 人物描写 / 心里描写 in the chinese lesson, but she never could think of any...

The mo xie is definitely longer (5 or 6 sentences)...and part of a compo. What I indicated were the 'titles' of each week's compo. Hope I didn't confuse you.
Hi Janet, how come the moxie is so short? I thought it should be in sentences? :?Happy Mama:
I searched my files for P3 默写...fortunately still in my hard disk.
There are 默写 for 早睡早起,不要乱丢垃圾,搭地铁,共用雨伞,学游泳.
I compiled all his mo xie together to form a 'mini' 作文.
Wow! You are so organized! Very impressive. But seriously, I think that's the right thing to do coz as I was going through the mo xie lists with my son when he was P3 & P4, I thought those are very good phrases for Compo too .. but never have the discipline to copy them down .. now those lists are like 'salted vege' and all over the place already .. hahaha.
I should start doing so for my P2 gal - better still, ask HER to compile them .. hahaha .. thanks for the tips

i would suggest that you try to compile the past P2 and P3 默写 for you dd and let her has a feel how to do a 人物描写 / 心里描写. This will be helpful. -

PH hires China coaches to teach both the competitive and non-competitive students, so we need to pay (or co-pay) even if our kids go for the non-competitive sessions. Not sure if those in competitive pay more or in fact pay less since they are playing for the school.Mrsbongz:

I got a shock too in my 1st yr of paying for CCA, then realize that the rates are not very different from those if you were to learn from CCs, except that to learn it in school saves the hassle of sending them to another sport venue, and they learn with their schoolmates. In fact, the table tennis coach for PH is 1 of the Chinese coaches who teaches some students in CCK sports stadium, not sure the students' parents pay extra for that, or that's 1 of the courses offers by the Singapore Sport council. -

Same for Gym.
