Yes, even with cakes. Some people act 'smart', change this, change that at first try and then start complaining that their cakes turn out diastrous! 😐

:thankyou: for your compliments. Got that nice loaf because I used the pullman pan because I hate that cut by the blade! πŸ˜‰
Huh? :? Doesn't the machine come with a pan? How come must specially buy another one?

No, don't need to buy another pan. The breadmachine will come with it's own pan, but just that this fussy pot here hates the cut made by the blade, so I bought a pullman loaf pan and bake in the oven instead of baking in the breadmachine. More for vanity sake lah!

Yes there is something about bread making. It has to follow very strict rituals but if you do, you get beautiful bread. One of the reasons why many people fail is because they think it is like making cake, can be relaxed about some steps.....bread-making...follow instructions clearly, then you would be fine and get beautiful bread like what 25hrmaid has posted here.

actually hor, now that u mentioned it.... was trying to recollect what i did, or did not do 10 yrs back.

Got the breadmaking machine as wanted to make gluten-free and yeast free breads. And I think I now know why the breads were not as soft as I hoped. Because I wanted it gluten/yeast free, I tweaked and substituted some of the ingredients. (Maid, Ksi... not because I \"kay-kiang\" but I think u know why lah).

With the banana bread, because I stuck to the recipe formula, the bread turned out fine. So, moral of the story, follow the recipe closely πŸ˜‰

Ah....at least you now figure out why....better late than never. I also learn from experience, you think what? hahaha

Good that you managed to figure out what went wrong, so I suppose that will give you enough confidence to give it another try? πŸ˜‰

Yes, we all learn from experience, good ones we keep and share with others, bad ones, we also share with others, but throw after sharing! 😎
