Good that you managed to figure out what went wrong, so I suppose that will give you enough confidence to give it another try?actually hor, now that u mentioned it.... was trying to recollect what i did, or did not do 10 yrs back.
Got the breadmaking machine as wanted to make gluten-free and yeast free breads. And I think I now know why the breads were not as soft as I hoped. Because I wanted it gluten/yeast free, I tweaked and substituted some of the ingredients. (Maid, Ksi... not because I \"kay-kiang\" but I think u know why lah).
With the banana bread, because I stuck to the recipe formula, the bread turned out fine. So, moral of the story, follow the recipe closely
Yes, we all learn from experience, good ones we keep and share with others, bad ones, we also share with others, but throw after sharing!

ksi, I found another thread about bread machine, can I merge yours with that since that one is older? But I think I will move it to Chit Chat after merging since it does not quite belong to Food Paradise. Would appreciate your advice since you are the thread starter for this thread.

But mine not gluten free at the time leh. :?
Regular flour, heck, I went to get bread flour one time just to make sure, but noo...
Anyway, good luck on that. Do tell us how it goes though. And I'll be inspired to try next, teehee.

Could it be the yeast? This yeast thingy is ultra sensitive...so sequence of entry into pan is important. But mine not gluten free at the time leh. :?

I was thinking about that too, thought should just keep your title since this seem to be a hotter thread than the other one. What say you?
