Anybody has experience with Brownies or Girls brigade? My dd is interested in joining GB, but we not Christian, and her daddy doesn't want her to join a Christian organization. Does GB talk/practice Christianity? Eg saying prayers before meals etc? I'm more inclined towards Brownies for that reason. When can one join Brownies? never heard any recruitment from them? Which day do they meet every week? Friday?
Actually, you can also consider letting your daughter join scouts. Yes, scouts also have girls... their activities are held on fridays... -

in previous years, school never had to re-adjust timetable, nor any feedback (complaints) from parents wrt timetable[/quote]i think they will have to react if the feedback from parents is overwhelming and across all P1 to P6 levels....
My dd form teacher told me that they are working on the perm schedule. I think quite a lot of parents raised this issue and she said they are trying to sort it now..?mommyNg:

temp schedule?? I don't think so.. as a shift in period will affect other classes in terms of deployment... which means it will potentially mean for all classes... unlikely to happen for semester 1... maybe for Sem 2. -

Is this temp timetable only for the P1s or across all levels?
i think they will have to react if the feedback from parents is overwhelming and across all P1 to P6 levels....
If it is across all levels, then I'll be quite shocked too. Will go ask other friends at other levels.

My son is in P2, he also has 4 PE lessons per week i was shocked when i saw the time table. I also have a daughter in P3, she told me the time table was temp but i read some of other classes blog there is one class even have PE every day and the teacher mentioned that the child needs to wear the PE attire everyday. It will be a waste of parents money who had bought extra school uniforms. I know of a parent who bought 5 sets of school uniform for his child and end up the child is having PE lesson everyday. Heard that the pupils will be getting their time table earliest this Fri. We shall see.

is it because the new principal was formerly PE teacher ?
:siam:
Anyway, acc to one of the class blog, the reason for the increase in PE lesson is due to MOE's greater emphasis on PE. NYPS has received a lot of feedback fm parents and is still adjustg its time table. So, I am not buying any more uniforms till further notice by the sch. -
