      sc88,

Haizz… little girls have many strange practices. The purse is actually part of the accessory attached to her new school bag (bought by her doting auntie). DD has another ‘actual’ wallet which contains phone card, contact numbers and pocket money.

      shlow,
U need to get your child to show the form teacher the message you have written. It is quite impossible for the teacher to check everyone’s comm book daily. DD showed her teacher the message i wrote, her teacher replied and even talked to me yesterday when i picked DD up from school yesterday. So i must say the teachers do act on the messages we parents wrote.

        Hi,

I received a letter from school on the Annual Subscription of Etutor \"Home-Based Learning\" Programme 2011 for $25 and LMS (Chinese Lang) for $17. Is these 2 compulsory? Is the first one an english programme? I am confused and the letter didn't really explain much and whether it's compulsory. Is this what the student will use via internet during school holiday?

        Thanks.

We have to follow since the school requested. As last year my girl took back to do under her homework as requested before in primary one. ( Another subject payment also through the Edusave account, can't remembered which subject.) 😄

Thanks. Anyway, I just signed and pass to my son to submit it. I just don't want the situation whereby we subscribe for it and it is optional, ended up we have to use it as another tool for our kids since we paid for it. I have quite a number of assessment books and already no time to complete them.

          hi parents,

any one of your child updated you on the change to the school elearning portal? my kid came back and told me that there is a new interface (which the teacher showed them in class). But when we tried to log in, we can’t go in.

i just called the asknlearn technical support and apparently there is now a new portal to log in.

wonder if the school will give further instructions coz i didn’t dare to go in as they prompted to change password before proceeding further.

            Dear Parents

Could you share if it’s better to submit PV applications earlier and when would NCPS evaluate our application? I’m worried my form would be misplaced but also scared I miss the application period. Any idea how they evaluate, first come first allocate etc. Some posts said hard to fulfill 40 hrs cos competition is stiff or not much opportunities to volunteer to clock their hours. TIA.

Mine the same problems, could not change the password too. :? I called 64897905 and the technical side staff helped me to solve my problems and now I'm able to login as usual.

He was very efficient and friendly. 😄

                  Hi,

I didn’t know we need to pay for the Speech & Drama lessons in NCPS. I thought it’s part of the school’s basic curriculum. I just received letter to sign up and pay $256.80 (24 hrs) and the lessons are conducted by Lorna Whiston Speech & Drama school. Is it the same past yrs?

                  Thanks.

hmm...did they re-direct you to the new portal i.e lms.asknlearn.com or its the old url that they helped you resolve?

Last year, we needn't pay or rather some token sum through edusave. But i don't think the standard is that good. So hopefully with Lorna Whiston, it would be better.

Was it by external centre or by teachers? Last yr not be Lorna Whiston? Only $76 from edusave, $190 in cash. I don't mind it if it yields results. But my son quite shy type, not sure how much he can gain from it.
