      NB:

Calling all PSLE Parents? do you feel the stress now? I need some tips on how to destress my child. Simple Ways for DS to relax daily! Thanks

All the PSLE parents, do let your children enjoy the CNY holidays first as they will not be able to enjoy their Children's Day (& also the last Children Day) this year!

Thank you for your advise. Since there is still not much activity dd went for a show with classmate yesterday and also spent some time doing some New Year decoration.

If from now, all the way full speed to psle, am sure the poor child will loose steam.

Its a pressure to keep counting down at times.

            Hi Leanne

Agree. May be the peak should be after June or prelim. Just my 2 cents thought as I still yet to see what are the school's work by then

Why not able to enjoy their Children’s day infact its better this year as they already finished their PSLE due to the change of date for Children’s Day?

Wef 2011, Teachers' Day and Children's Day will fall on the 1st Friday of Sept & Oct respectively (no longer on the 1st).

Hence, this year's Children's Day is on Oct 7, after PSLE! 😄

Just to share with you all my experience.

I sent my DD to creative horizons for English enrichment.

DD didn't make it for the placement test and they can't take her in.

very sad. She will take the test again this sunday. *finger cross*
Another tuition centre which screens students? Are they any good? Where are they located?

Ha Ha. DD P6 camp is also after PSLE, think they will treasure this few days staying together as after P6 everbody may go to different Secondary school.

That's a good way to relax! thanks!

Curious why stress comes so early ? Would u mind sharing ?

Erm, i wasn't the one who mentioned stress. haha. but I did want my son to exercise regularly and play outdoors as I do believe it will have a positive impact on his academic studies, and no better time than to start now at the beginning of the year bc I know how busy it can get later on.

So far so good, I think, but only the beginning. In my son's school, they started with supplementary lessons last week (week 2) already. 2 weekdays and 1 saturday. And he still has CCA days so that means he only has 1 weekday afternoon free, but he has his music lesson on that day, so everyday he's back home only around 5pm anyway.

Manage to do all the school homework. They've started on past-year papers already (topical). We've really not managed to do much revision since he started school, sadly. Not sure if to be worried in that respect! My boy is a slow worker, so he takes quite long just finishing his schoolwork, which I don't really find to be all that much. But others might beg to differ.[/quote]haha, I mentioned \"stress\" just curious if any parents started to feel it.
Mum1113 – \"worry\" probably instead of stress I should say, wonder if kid have enough time to rest, supp class started this week + CCA, 4 full day @ sch, with homework & tuition work to complete. So far, ds is coping well I just need to ensure he have enough rest too. 🙂

So far haven't felt stress yet. May be the 1st stree will kick off if the CA 1 Exam is not performing well. Just my 2 cents thought
