My cheese loaf is indeed ugly. It looks like an oversized rock bun.  It tastes okay. The texture is chewier, probably because it didn't rise enough. i suppose if no one told you it was meant to be a loaf but some exotic bread it would be okay. hahahahah!!

Could someone please try making the Zoji cheese loaf and tell me if it's a success so I know if I should blame me or the recipe. πŸ™‚

Hey jtoh, I baked the cheese bread last nite. And it's exactly like what u described. It's really an oversized rock bun 😒

At first, I thought I did something wrong, but if both of us have similar results, then it must be the recipe's fault πŸ˜›

I followed the recipe closely and used shredded cheese but the bread was dense and chewy. It's edible but my family said that it was not cheesy enuf 😒

I also think that it cd be the amount of water used. The amt in the Z manual seems lesser than the other recipes. Wonder if there is a typo.

Maybe the bread is supposed to turn out like \"rock bun\" type? We need some BSI's to investigate and diagnose πŸ˜‰

...and how it looks like sliced (it was very crumbly) and was difficult to cut

                  It seems like it.

I think must really trial and error. If I were bake the cheese bread the next time, I may add a bit more water and cheese.

i remembered someone has a pullman tin. Can u share where u get it, price and roughly what size of bread to bake in? 1.5lb, 2lb?

I think it was 25hourmaid who mentioned that she has the pullman tin πŸ˜‰

Hey Schweppes, mine looked like that too. So it's the recipe's fault then. Hurray! I'm not a failure! πŸ˜„

Did you put onions in? I omitted the onions. Maybe onions give off some water to compensate for the smaller quantity of liquid. Or it could be a typo like you said coz 1/2 cup is significantly less than the other recipes.
