Thermal pot

Happy Mama:
I too am looking for a smaller one. What is the smallest size available?
Wow 4.5 litres is too much for my family. Wonder if they have smaller ones...
Where to buy and how much. Remember reading someone got a smaller pot free with a bigger one. Is it possible just to buy the smaller pot? -
tisha:
Mine is 2.5L just nice for 2 bowl of soup for a family of 4.

I bought mine for abt $40, Endo Brand. I love to use the pot to prepare clear soup and dessert...very fuss free and save electricity. -
4.5 litre is not that big bcos you have to factor in ingredients as well. Bigger also means won’t spill out.
If I want soup to be drank for dinner, I will just prepare it before going out in the afternoon…but by dinner, corn/chicken or pork ribs will very soft. -
BTW, for those who are interested. Carrefour is having a sale for the 6-litre Endo pot, at $69.90.

I have no idea too. Probably both of us got to read through all the pages in this thread as I'm sure someone would have mentioned where to get smaller ones.

Wow seems very tempting as I drool over your corn/chicken pork ribs soup...4.5 litre is not that big bcos you have to factor in ingredients as well. Bigger also means won't spill out.

25hourmaid, do you have any idea how long the sale will last? I don't like to go to town on weekends because it's exceptionally crowded and sure cannot find parking. Wonder if Endo brand has smaller capacity. 6 litres is too much for my small family.

Happy Mama:
I seldom use the pot now as we usually enjoy the corn and pork ribs...if use thermal cooker, the flavour would have gone into the soup, leaving the pork ribs rather tasteless esp if 'cook' from morn to evening. But if going out that day, will use the thermal cooker as we don't want to eat 2 meals outside.

I have the 1.5L Thermos Shuttle Chef. I use it to cook DD's porridge or 2 cups rice for the family. It can also be used to cook simple boneless chicken stew or herbal soup for hubby alone.
