好朋友 is paid for by govt...you remember signing some form to authorize govt to deduct money ? This is the magazine you will get every year. My son still has it at P5...there are some exercises inside to do.
My son will have his 默写 from it too. All primary schools have it.
You mean all pri sch students will have this? I'm surprised cos I actually find the words inside this mag more advance than ds's HCL text. -

For P1s and P2s, the top 3 class positions in each class will get the same type of trophy (The one with leaves round the side of the plague with school name on a stand with student name and class name engraved), except for the difference in colour. 1st in class recipient will receive a Gold Trophy, 2nd in class recipient will receive a Silver and 3rd in class recipient will receive a Bronze.I've looked through some of the pictures on last year's prize presentation, and i've a few questions to ask.
What are some of the different prizes given out to the students (esp. the p2s)?
and what do each of the trophies represent?
The Best-in-Progress recipient will receive a trophy that has stars round the plague and has a very deep goldish colour.
The trophy that looks like a transparent tulip cup with a ribbon tied to the stand is for those who attained top 10 in level. These kids will have to go up stage to receive the top 10 awards separately after the whole level received their top three class positions prizes.

Some schools will receive 新世界.

Last year, mine went and got a firefighter's hat and a firefight jacket. My #2 used it as a dress-up raincoat last week.
Wow how did your child manage to get a firefighter's hat and jacket? Did she participate in any quiz? -

No lah. Everyone got a set last year. See pg 45 on the year mag, you can see the hat. The jacket is not worn by the children on the pic tho.IJJ:
