Wats d full name of TAS?

The Alternative Story. They have a branch at BTSC.

In my opinion, their biggest strength is in creative writing.

K tks! Any idea if the Mindstretcher in the Bt Batok branch is good or not?
Her P4 dd’s homework yesterday: 10 pages of 习字, 2 thick stacks of Maths, 1 stack of Science worksheet and 10 over pages of English worksheet. And this happens almost every day. Even her P1 dd has tons of homework (Her home yesterday: 13 pages of 汉语拼音 worksheet plus 5 pages of English worksheet ). The girls have been working till 10+ almost every night since school reopen.

If that's the hw for a single day, then obviously it's overwhelming. That's double the load of what I can accept as reasonable in a single day, even for a P4. Imho, turbo-charging should only be done start of P6 at the earliest.

Can share which sch is that?
A neighbourhood school giving this amount of homework ? This is crazy ! :x When my son was in P4 last year, he wasn't given that much, although there was something to be done for all 4 subjects plus art. However, he did have more hw on Fridays and eve of public holidays.

Sorry I didn't even know there's a Mind Stretcher at BB.

But I saw a newly opened one at BP Plaza. Last yr a daddy whose ds aced PSLE advised me that for enrichment, the relationship between student and teacher is most impt. I think what he is trying to tell me that we've to trial & error until we find the right one for our kids (which may not be right for other kids).

Yes. NEED to return to teacher the next day. And she always tell me how lucky my dd is who has almost no homework (at least during P1 & 2).

My daughter at P1 doesn't have homework either...everyday I will ask her and she told me the work is completed in school.
Have a friend whose son studied at River Valley Pri (Sec 1 now)...tons of Maths worksheets everyday and they are due the next day. Fridays even worse. Don't know if still the same now.

Since your gal got a place, don't give it up.

I seconded that .. particularly for 1-to-1 tuitions.
For class format, apart from teachers, cirriculum is just as important.
Finally .. parents involvement . .the most important 😉

I read from this forum that TLL has Science which can boost grades to A*.

                        That’s amazing but it’s proven.
