Hi alora
Not sure what info u need. Quite a number of us (i think about 7 or so) bought the mini Z (it makes 1lb bread), 1 bought Severin (makes a 2 lb bread) and 1 bought the Bluesky.
So far, Bluesky is the most affordable but I don't think Carrefour is selling that now (trust LKVM to get her hands on it somehow). The next cheapest machine is the S (slightly less than $200) and mini Z at $318 (at Tangs and Taka or $295 if u buy from Parisilk or Goh Ah Bee)
The bread machine is very user friendly. So even for a baker newbie like me, I find it very convenient to use and wash up after
Hope to see u around here in the Bread Talk thread
Thanks schweppes!
I've been deliberating on bread machines for at least a year now.
Saw the Z mini at friend's then. It's so compact and small footprint, that's the ideal I guess but so ex. What if I buy it, and I don't use it that much, my husband wd be very upset.
All other brands seem bulky.
So Bluesky is most attractive, since price is low. I have been to Carrefour many times to check on the Bluesky, hoping it would come back.. heard it's quite good for beginner's, recommended by another online mummy.
Today I just saw this google ad link at the Breadmaking article in this website. Anyone heard of it or tried it?

Btw those with breadmachines, anyone feedback on their experience?
Thanks, and hope to join this thread more often..
I like baking, though I don't do it often.. Only muffins/cupcakes several times a year or gingerbread cookies with Ikea dough. Hope I can do more.
I do more baking for meals like lasagna, veggies. -

I took a look at the link and could not help notice the resemblance to my Bluesky, the older model prior to the stainless steel one that I currently have. Wonder if it is as good as the Bluesky? :?Today I just saw this google ad link at the Breadmaking article in this website. Anyone heard of it or tried it?

  :drool:Then on Sunday ie yesterday, I prepared the raisin bread but instead of just raising I put all the mix also from same brand as Choco chips...
This time the bread rose to the highest.. I used the z machine recipe but increased the quantity little bit cause it seemed too small for my machine
here is the result ...

This time the raisins were distributed properly and it tasted just yummy..

LKVM, I think it may not be the baking powder. I bought a new bottle of baking powder but my cake didn't rise that well too. I am now beginning to doubt if the cakes baked using breadmaker are as nice or comparable to those using mixer and then put to oven to bake...

Sorry, donβt mean to be a damper here, but I read somewhere that the element used in the breadmachine is not the ideal for baking cakes. Think it has something to do with the temperture or something like that and thatβs one reason why I have never attempted a cake using the breadmachine.
