I'm trying to find out more info on breadmaker.. so far have heard of zojirushi, kenwood, bluesky (not selling anymore?), severin, and just today saw a takada ad..
Is there existing post on this topic? Saw there are so many posts in this thread.. 300+ pages.. *faint* -

I took a look at the link and could not help notice the resemblance to my Bluesky, the older model prior to the stainless steel one that I currently have. Wonder if it is as good as the Bluesky? :?Today I just saw this google ad link at the Breadmaking article in this website. Anyone heard of it or tried it?

  :drool:Then on Sunday ie yesterday, I prepared the raisin bread but instead of just raising I put all the mix also from same brand as Choco chips...
This time the bread rose to the highest.. I used the z machine recipe but increased the quantity little bit cause it seemed too small for my machine
here is the result ...

This time the raisins were distributed properly and it tasted just yummy..

LKVM, I think it may not be the baking powder. I bought a new bottle of baking powder but my cake didn't rise that well too. I am now beginning to doubt if the cakes baked using breadmaker are as nice or comparable to those using mixer and then put to oven to bake...

Sorry, donβt mean to be a damper here, but I read somewhere that the element used in the breadmachine is not the ideal for baking cakes. Think it has something to do with the temperture or something like that and thatβs one reason why I have never attempted a cake using the breadmachine.

Oops LKVM, I don't mean to say yours didn't rise well...
I think it rise quite ok but still I feel that it could have well risen somemore... maybe will try with new one if still cannot then surely problem with the machine bahHappy Mama:

what I meant was, somehow I got this feeling that cakes baked in breadmakers look and taste different from those baked in the oven... and using oven, maybe there's air circulation within the oven compared to the breadmaker... Just my opinion... I may be wrong...
