Maths is on Monday. got another time slot? :?Mum1113:
Isn't maths class on Monday? That was what stated on my girl's form. She mentioned that it is going to start next week, throughout the year.
My boy don't want to sign the EL is because of the homework. He said got homework and don't want to do. Lazy boy. Anyone here heard about it?
We decided to sign both, but if got homework just quit EL. As compared to P3, this year almost everyday got homework and plus CCA and TTLT, it is a big jump to my boy. -

Same here. Mine quite relunctant for EL and was very happy when the EL crashes with her CCA. Well, if tr cannot change day, then good for her, otw, hehehe...... I like the exposure. If there is too much work, I will reduce her 'mommy' homework. My boy don't want to sign the EL is because of the homework. He said got homework and don't want to do. Lazy boy. Was reading this morning's ST talking about some schools having supp classes for P3/P4......well for ours, though not call supp class, but feel it is just about the same , cos kids have little time on his own (CCA, TTLT)..

I so agree. Yesterday, when dh heard abt TTLT for the first time...his first response was, \"Another elitism stuff?\" I take in as another good-to-have- exposure. Balance is the thing. I try to let my children has other non-academic classes (in fact, those are their only classes), such as sports/music to balance off. Time is very precious, so, planning is important. My P4 writes down/plans her schedule everyday she touches home. She will have sometimes set aside for her piano and reading. The faster she finishes her school works and 'mommy' works, the more time she has to relax.

Looks like Trapwithin inadvertently transferred some of his 'reflective' attribute to me, haha. Side track a bit. I found the tt bat cover you wanted at Gallen sports shop @ BT Plaza, 2nd floor. It costs only $5.50. Tempted to buy but then decided to wait for you to buy and pass it to me later.
my eyes still not opened completely in the early morning, wow... our brother trapwithin writing reflection again....thought that trapwithin must be writing this when he was sleepy....when does he has a ds? his dd already in P2, now then wrote about her dd's first month in P1, too late mah...right?
Thinking to poke our brother trapwithin, I openly my eyes bigger this time....WHAT???? did i read wrongly? was not trapwithin, it was our brother markfch writing reflection.....hey, brother, this is copyrighted...only trapwithin can write reflection....hahahha.... -
Trapwithin:
Have done that. DS usually does ok for math. He checks when told that these are mock test papers. For languages, he tends to lose marks on fill in the blanks (vocab) qns & comprehension OE.
One good litmus test - throw him a SA1 exam paper to see how he fair.
You will have an idea how strong is his concept.
I guess this would be representative of most P1 kids his age so I'm fine with that. -
