Preparing kids for P5 in 2011

[janet88]

Hi Brenda,

A friend of mine advised me to file comprehension passages according to the diff themes…we never know what passage the school will give. So if the kids are exposed to ‘science fiction like Mars’ for example or ‘health’, they won’t be at a loss. I did that last year. Last year, I gave him one passage or else let him choose one passage.

Hi Janet
I think this is also a good idea and will help to prepare your ds better when attempt to this section.

@mrswongtuition,

Thanks for sharing.
The header shows : [home] [about us] [gallery..] [home-based...][main centre]. I look through each page and scroledl down each of the page but can't find any [resource] link anywhere.
btw, nice photo of you there !

@peterch, probably you can get better response if you ask at the Tao Nan networking thread. your ds's own school bookshop don't know ?

I think it's due to the 'compatibility view' in IE. Try Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox.

Hi Mummies,

My son’s school ordered this set of Science notes-cum-test questions for the students…comes in 2 booklets - Cycles and Systems. I think I saw this at Popular before, one of the staff there told me many schools get it for their students/ask their students to get it.
It’s published by ACE and written by a lady author.

Ok, when I'm home tonight.
In the meantime, enjoy your reunion lunch or dinner with your family.

@Janet, thanks for sharing. I like the concept maps.

Re: English Assessments, I like ‘Sucess with Grammar’ by Global Publishers, the answers have bold keywords so the grammar rule governing the answer is clearer. S&T, I am trying out the one by Rosalind Fergusson as I like the English books she wrote.

How’s everyone coping ? With CCA and supplementary lessons in full swing and upcoming CA1, we are kept busy. Not much time for revision or assessment books.
