My son in P5 has the habit of asking me for meanings of words too...I asked him to check the electronic dictionary and write down the meaning of the word...this benefitted him a great deal last year when he was doing Vocab exercises.

I never used electronic dic. before. which one you are using? How do you find it? is that provides any pictures?

I got the Besta 668...hesitated for few weeks before agreeing to it.
So far, I use the Chinese and English dictionary features...not very sure about others. Told my son to make full use of it...sometimes if he doesn't know how the character is pronounced, he will write it on the screen and the electronic dict will then tell you what it is.[/quote]sounds great...tempting to buy.... Thanks Janet..

Since it's eve of CNY, let's not walk into Popular to give ourselves a BREAK from books...bcos I'm expecting a tsunami of homework to come in from next Monday onwards.

I have Study Helpers too...bought from Popular last year.

Son's homework really flooding in...not all 4 subjects but 2 or 3 subjects with many questions which require time to think.

Oh are they available in Popular as well..I didn't know. Must check. I got the member card in times as well. so $5.24 + 10% each.

simple and I  them...my dd too.

Thinking Skills to better your english is an old book printed in 2007, knowledge based one. I got the P2 book.

speaking of son ..how is he now? My dd has started the model drawing at school. the teacher gave her only simple , straight Qs to practice drawing..so she came and told me with a big 😄 \"ITs very easy\" .

              :?

He's much better now, thanks for asking. What a relief.
Sent the doctor a thank-you card. She's really good.

Next Friday, daughter's school will have P1 briefing...so happens parents out of town...so hubby has to attend the briefing himself as it is for parents and letter mentioned it's for parents only...have to stay home to look after the kids.

                  Hi plum-cake,
It's great that your DD has grasped the concept of models well. The earlier she picks up this skill, the easier she will find using models for problem sums. Hope you've mastered your models from the FAN book..hehe

Yes, he's pretty hands-on where kids' education is concerned.
