Wonder Will Sch Increase Fees when shift to New Premises ....
Now Oredi Very High ....
IMHO, whatever cost they incur to build the new campus, it is more than offset from the value they get from the land released for commercial / residential use at Anderson road. NOT zero sum game for the gahmen........
Hmmmmmmmmmm ....
Heard it Can Fetch in Terms Of Billions ....
(Yes it is 9 ZERO's ....)[/quote]The Westlake/Braddell place is wasting money now anyway. If they give it to RGS, spend some millions building it up, but can free up the prime land at Anderson Road to build condo... makes all $$ sense mah...
but dunno why so long still no approval given. After approval, still need tender, build and all... think will be delayed for another few years again... -

Is it the old schools site? Braddell secondary school, westlake secondary school and westlake primary school. Is it the entire place? It will be super big. Or is it part of that piece of old schools land?

The school was offered part of the land some years back, after RI and RJC moved there, but they turned it down becos the land was smaller than RI's. Then just 1-2 yr ago they were offered the same location, but larger land - and they finally accepted.

What excuse does MOE has for offering RGS a smaller piece of land than RI?

1. Both have same number of students.
2. Both are government schools.
3. RGS piece of land is more valuable than RI's.
Are we still a sexist society that girl's school should be smaller than boy's school? -

now that all those schools along Bradell had moved out, can draw bigger lot lar, plus the anderson road area worth a lot more now too -

Anyway, think got bit more space than RI. But location is perhaps not as good as RI, which is nearer to Junction 8. But no choice already in suppose. -

Hi fatal-illuxions,
Hi, I'm not very sure 'cause im not in any of them.sleeping beauty:
Hi fatal illuxions,
Do u happen to know the CCA leadership points awarded to the lead boards?
Do Prefects, PSLs & Congress members receive the same points for the same number of years of service?
Thanks!
What I'm sure of is the points increase by the number of years of service and also the position that you're in(whichever lead board you're in) I once glanced at the list of points for prefects, the head prefect gets 8 points for her service.
the number of points awarded should be about the same, unless you're in special positions like Head of the boards, esp the head prefect as mentioned above.
The number of points doesnt really matter for students in IP programmes, it only matters when you're in JC. But anyway, usually one should be able to get the top grade (A+) for LEAPS(cca points), due to the few commitments that you'll have by the end of sec4.
You can only be a prefect OR a PSL, in addition to congress and house committee if you get in to any. Also, other factors for LEAPS are The positions in CCA, competitions, positions in class committee, CIP hours..
Let me know if you want the exact points for the different Lead Boards, i should be able to get it from my friends.
So in order to get A+ in year 4 for cca how many points do a student need to collect?
The numbers of point will carry up to JC? Or the grade will be carry up? If the point will carry up is it will continue with the point collected in JC?
thanks! -

and No. none of the points or the grades will be carried up to JC. for IP students like us, the grades and points are \"just for show\", it looks nicer on the end of year report for Sec4.
In RP, we'll receive a Raffles Diploma, that covers all aspects of a student's journey in RJC. academics, aesthetics, CCA, etc. Everyone will get this thing by the end of J2, provided you meet the minimum requirements (which is really really easy to meet). Your child will learn more about this when she comes to RJC, it's far too complicated for me to explain
