Yes, keep your son's Science textbooks/notes from P3 onwards. P5/6 (upper block) is built on foundation of P3/4. Kids cannot forget what they were taught at P3...for eg properties of living and non-living things.
Does that mean that come P3, I must keep all of ds's science text till P6?janet_lee88:
For CA1/SA1/SA2, there will be questions tested from P3 to ensure the student still remembers the concepts...however students will
be informed...except that I didn't hear this from son's teacher this time.

but is affiliation that important?[/quote]Pei Hwa is a good school...it is competitive and results have proven that most kids can perform. But my son is no striker (not scoring goals)...working very hard to maintain average results every year. I do worry about his PSLE results...the cut off points (COP) and Dragon year competition. Thus with my younger child, we have decided to register her in my former school with affiliation.
I think one of the forummers here most qualified to ans your qn is janet, she has been thru the same situation before, well sort of.markfch:

Yes, sorry about that, meant to say 250.
Any thoughts from parents here?
Just read from the forum last night...a parent mentioned that with effect from 2016, the cut off points will be increased for affiliated primary school from the present 200 points. -

Pei Hwa gives students a good grounding and exposes the kids to pressure from lower primary...as such I believe in building a good foundation from P1...am applying the same principle to my daughter who is not in Pei Hwa...it's a learning experience everyday for my kids as well as myself.Yes, same here .. verykiasu2010:
if your child is truly passionate about math, invest in systematic math training, not just in MO. There are also courses conducted by NUS SMS... held in June / Dec, $150 for 5 mornings over a week
Thank you so much, verykiasu2010.  -

Aiyah don't liddat say lah Happy Mama. P1/P2 you're not too familar cos you were always out of town mah. Now that you're SAHM, I'm sure you'll be one of the P3 experts in time to come.
Me too... which is why I am not able to comment on most stuff here for P1 & P2... So maybe I should \"ZIP UP\" from now on since I can't VALUE-ADD to this thread???
If you're saying we can only post entries with high value, then hmm, I think most of my posts are *ahem* .......
