So not much saving in this case. The question is whether buy from Intl site will have lower lead time or other advantages?
Will have to buy the more pack to see the difference. And for certain series, the UK site pack has more books than the international site one.
For indidvidual books, the saving is not as great.
Lead time wise should be almost the same. Just that for international site, they will give more donations to the international schools. -

See, this is the best proof that your ds is coping well in sch.
Oops! Ds brought back the CL file yesterday and I finally noticed there are indeed HYPY spelling and 5 were already done! Well, am glad ds did well even though no revision was done at home.

If I read your ds correctly (and I've known him for the better part of 6 yrs oredi  ), I'll say 100%, chop-stamp, chop-head he will be able to understand Young Scientist easily. Of course our sons will need some adult guidance on some of the scientific terms, otherwise what is the value of this mag rite? :celebrate:Will go check out Young Scientist. Can get at Popular right? But seriously doubt ds's EL level can handle such books/mags.

Hi, couldn't access the approved dictionary list on PHPPS website. Anyone can advise which Chinese dictionary I should get for ds?
I went to Popular IMM to get the one posted by Jennifer back in 2009 but could not find it. Bought a picture dictionary instead but realise the words covered are limited.

My DD bought Creative PX2101 from school when the vendor came over to sell last week. Quite useful so far and my DD loves using it... and it's not expensive. Only $42.Hi, couldn't access the approved dictionary list on PHPPS website. Anyone can advise which Chinese dictionary I should get for ds?

Oh yes, and it's approved model for PSLE.

do you think it is advisable to use electronic dictionary at P1 level? it is better to teach the kids how to check the dictionary manually rather than via electronic mean....Hi, couldn't access the approved dictionary list on PHPPS website. not sure if it is advisable but i personally prefer ds to learn how to use a book dict. Also, His CL enrichment ctr wants ds to bring 1 to class next week so have to buy.
Just wondering, is there a diff btw old and new version? I still kept mine from sec sch days and find it very easy to use, not too thick like those in the market now but as comprehensive, just words are small. -

just words are small.
If the character is too small, there is a high chance of copying wrongly esp for those with lots of strokes. We hv a magnifying glass at home for this purpose
I dun encourage e-dict as it wld never replace the comprehensiveness of the book dict. At home, we hv the CL dict, EL to CL translation dict and CL to EL translation dict. CL dict alone ranges from lower pri std to upper pri std.
I am also slowly relinquishing my role as a talking dict.
