Q&A - P2 English
-
Hi plum-cake,
I went to IMM just now to get the Creative Writing P5-6 for my son.
At the same time, checked out ‘study helpers’ you mentioned. Under ‘study helpers’, it is not found in their computer system…fortunately one of the guys helped me to locate it.
Bought one ‘study helpers’ last year by Loh Tee Yang but it’s for CA/SA. The other one is ‘English Practice’ by Agnes Chew is good for weekly practice.
Thanks for the recommendation -

Hi plum-cake,
I’m looking at the P2 books I got for daughter.
From what I see, I am short of a Grammar and Vocab assessment book.
Just curious, is Grammar & Vocab available under the ‘study helpers’ range ? If not, then will have to get Conquer. -

Study helpers are from Marshall and Cavendish. Yes under Study helpers the grammar practice is a seperate book. Grammar Practice Author : Tay Eng Hiang I didn buy that. for the voabulary it comes with comprehension title says Vocabulary and Comprehension. Success In Comprehension (Note: Revised edition.this book the cover has changed and coming as Success in Comprehension but same author Manda Pullen and with out the study helpers on the corner), English Practice ,
most of the titles' revised edition comes with different cover. For the grammar I think Marshall and Cavendish has new study guide for p1/2 under \"my pals are here\" and seperate work books for p1 and p2. title reads as Grammar work book by Ng Theresa
For the vocab, you can have a look at Reading Smart By rosalind fergussen Learners' publisher. It covers comprehension, reading, vocab.. color pictures. one page of useful words and phrases. each word with meaning and example. 3 levels of books good for p1/2.( my op
)
Conquer titles are good for practice. I prefer pictures and explenation for teaching. -
Dear plum-cake,
Thank you so much for the detailed titles you've provided.
I do get 2 different type of Eng workbooks for my gal...Conquer (w/out pics) is for reinforcement while the 'My Pals' English Homework is for teaching...having a kid now is so expensive. Just assessment book alone can kill  -
Hi Brenda,
You mentioned going to Popular yesterday. Did you get anything ? -

Hi JanetHi Brenda,

No. I manage to drop the idea of getting P6 related book like Casio 6B Tutor or Visible 6. I observe those daily maths worksheet given by the school should be sufficient to cover for revision and I am looking forward to get Casio 1A Tutor (Secondary School) after September.
