I read the popclub magazine...which is why I got to know about the expo Popular sale next month. Try to go on the 1st day when it's opened to just Popular cardmembers...much lesser people.

Hey, you bought Visible Thinking for P2 and P6 too ? 😉
Oic, I haven't looked through the popclub magazine yet... 😉

Ya, bought Visible thinking 2b for DD2 and P6 for DD1. No space on the bookshelves already....if not, I'll buy the P3 ones too. Very KS hor....

            Hi plum-cake,

I went to IMM just now to get the Creative Writing P5-6 for my son.
At the same time, checked out ‘study helpers’ you mentioned. Under ‘study helpers’, it is not found in their computer system…fortunately one of the guys helped me to locate it.
Bought one ‘study helpers’ last year by Loh Tee Yang but it’s for CA/SA. The other one is ‘English Practice’ by Agnes Chew is good for weekly practice.

            Thanks for the recommendation

                  Hi Brenda,
I ran through the stack of compo books on the shelves and since son likes the Creative Writing P5-6 (pink cover) by Success, might as well get it. Secondary school reference books are much more ex 😢

Didn't get Thinking Skills...rather tough. Controlled myself just now by getting 'Practice English' for P2 and P5...couldn't find P6. Also got 'Success in Comprehension'...but didn't see the one for Vocabulary from study helpers. Any idea if it's avail for P2 pls ?

                      Hi plum-cake,

I’m looking at the P2 books I got for daughter.
From what I see, I am short of a Grammar and Vocab assessment book.
Just curious, is Grammar & Vocab available under the ‘study helpers’ range ? If not, then will have to get Conquer.

                        Hi, Janet.
Study helpers are from Marshall and Cavendish. Yes under Study helpers the grammar practice is a seperate book. Grammar Practice Author : Tay Eng Hiang I didn buy that. for the voabulary it comes with comprehension title says Vocabulary and Comprehension. Success In Comprehension (Note: Revised edition.this book the cover has changed and coming as Success in Comprehension but same author Manda Pullen and with out the study helpers on the corner), English Practice ,
most of the titles' revised edition comes with different cover. For the grammar I think Marshall and Cavendish has new study guide for p1/2 under \"my pals are here\" and seperate work books for p1 and p2. title reads as Grammar work book by Ng Theresa

For the vocab, you can have a look at Reading Smart By rosalind fergussen Learners' publisher. It covers comprehension, reading, vocab.. color pictures. one page of useful words and phrases. each word with meaning and example. 3 levels of books good for p1/2.( my op 😉 )

Conquer titles are good for practice. I prefer pictures and explenation for teaching.
