Hey, a 2010 P6 parent told me that for last yr's PSLE , 25% of PH students scored 250+ (T-score) and 40% of students scored 240+!!
Wow, I thought that is very comforting to know! So if our kids still in the top 40 percentile, assuming the results stay or improve .. then they are in pretty good shape - haha, at least according to my standard lah

From what I understand 2009 PSLE is a big improvement over 2008. And looks like 2010 PSLE is a big improvement over 2009. When a sch changed P and then the results improved dramatically, think it's good to give credit to the P for the leadership, notwithstanding the fact that the HODs, teachers do the bulk of the work.

Being the greedy parent that I am, I always wonder how much better (the results) if PH didn't lose her GEP status and absorbs the brightest students instead of losing them at P3.markfch:

I would be relieved if my son is able to get 240...think can get into Bukit Panjang High with 240 right ?[/quote]Something dd told me weeks back during the CNY celeb, i.e. P informed them that some ex-PH students who scored > 245 but < 250 did very well for their Os in their respective secondary schools with at least 6 A1s. Dd told me the details that day which I forgot now but basically, P was trying to tell the students that diligence is important for Post-Primary school years and they can still excel if they work hard and don't give up.
